I'm pretty sure any or all of us would be more than happy to "help" you out with your old bags. *L*

LOL... Come shop at my closet.

I also have a good collection of clothes. Lots of BR stuff and silver jewelry. I have a lot of everything, as my brother would gently put (I know he's thinking I've got tons of junk).

*LOL* I totally would if I could.

I have to say I love your scarves and that brown Hamptons satchel is gorgeous! You have great stuff. :) I know it will be hard to part with it but I agree with the advice to take baby steps.

I just went to the Coach store today and got my new love! Well, I took out all my coach bags and took some pics. I did not include my accessories though.

1. Look at them so happy together
2. They may not be warm, but boy are they stylish
3. That python satchel is just too cute to part... especially I have a pair of python sneakers just like that. But $498 is the price of a Ali (I could get a black Ali) I am currently using the brown lace hobo, but I think I probably want a larger bag.
4. I only wore that hat twice... 3 years ago. The messenger bag is well used, but now I want a white (or natural) Legacy Hippie.

*sigh* decisions decisions decisions... I feel like I am breaking up with my bags :crybaby:

If you love them keep them. I love your Hamptons satchel and would be interested in buying it if you decide to sell.

*breathing in deep* It's like taking baby steps, right? Or like dipping your toe in the freezing pool water before jumping in? The question is, which one to pick? Almost feel like cutting off my least favorite fingers (sorry, the mental image is just way too violent) I am leaning more toward the lace hobo in blue... because I am using the brown one now and love it.

Good Luck & May the Force be with you! I understand. I go though this process with my clothes that I gather to give away to Good Will. So, I can totally understand. Yes, take a lot of deep breaths. We are here to help you thorough this. Think how happy you'll make someone by your sacrifice.

You're doing good! I know it's hard, but coming up with decisions on what to let someone else love is good.

I actually love shoes more than purses. I have way too many shoes. So, about 6 months ago (maybe more) I came up with a rule that everytime I bought a new pair of shoes I had to get rid of a pair. It's been tough, but good. And, I have been able to donate some nice shoes and boots to Goodwill, so I like that someone else will get to enjoy them. However, right now I need to decide on parting with 3 pair, and it's tough, so I understand your dilemma.

My husband wanted me to cull my purse collection (breaking my heart.) So, I made an active effort to rotate through my purses more often, matching them to my outfit, or need - sometimes almost daily. A pursekit or some kind of purse organizer makes this really easy. And now I'm finding out which purses I really don't use. And those will go to ebay so that they can find someone who will really LOVE them and use them. Better than sitting and getting dusty in my closet.
A hard process, but better to have them with someone who appreciates them. And then I don't feel so bad about getting new ones - and I have more space. Which is always a premium in a 1924 home.

You are not alone! I have two Coach bags I bought on impulse with tags and paper in them that have not been used. I have never ever sold any of my bags, but now with a move coming up, I may have to. :crybaby:

I say sell them on ebay.

I agree. It was really hard for me, but I decided a few days ago to finally sell my beloved legacy stripe pouch on ebay- after only using it one time (and only for an hour) I realized I could put the money towards a beautiful, more practical, bigger bag that I would actually use, instead of just stare at. Now I'm considering going through the rest of the bags I don't really use and doing the same!

I made myself a purseket after reading an issue of Oprah Magazine. I had some unwanted college Jeans so I just cut out the fabric and had a mini sewing project. (I went to Jo-Ann's Fabrics on Black Friday... surprisingly, their line was very short. Go figure. lol) I think whoever invented it is a genius  You can totally switch bags in a snap.
