PONY-HAIR or ostrich.... .

very light colored lining .... hate when pen/lipstick marks show up

very distressed, light colored leather (tan-ish)

too much bling -- sequins etc

long tassels .... keeps me from liking b bags

just too much going on. I like simple elegant designs

on the other hand, I seem to have a thing for outside pockets :smile1:

Fat, clunnky bags that don't taper.
Bags that are imitating the styles of other bags.
Light colored or odd colored bags.
Bags with light linings.
Bags which are too squishy (except for b'bags which are entitled to be squishy and which I love)

-small bags ex. LV pochette, speedy 25.
-no matter now nice a purse is, if its too heavy NO for me
-too structured, rigid
-suede
-heavily copied/replicated/fake bags ( balencigas, LV monogram)
-animal prints, fur, pony hair
-canvas handles( feels cheap)
-wide purses ( i feel like i'll be hitting people when i walk and turn)

What turns me off:
-No zipper
-Uncomfortable shoulder strap
-Stiff leather (I love buttery-soft leather)
-Weird smelling leather :shame:
-No dust cover (I almost bought a Furla one day at Nordstrom but decided against it because they didn't have the dust cover for it. I must have it right then!!!)
-Cheap-looking hardware
-Imperfect stitching (I always check for snags.)
-Cheap-looking lining  (I hate when designers cut corners. I want to feel just as good about the inside of the bag.)

I avoid:

-Cloth, fake leather and fake fur bags
-Lots of studding, bling, or bright metallics
-Bags without interior pockets
-Too small or too big
-Uncomfortable to carry
-Floral prints, embroidery...cute on some bags but not my thing

-Double shoulder straps in general, unless they are soft leather they won't stay on my shoulder-a major pet peeve I've ebay'd bags over.
-If any shoulder strap slides off, the love affair is over.
-Most exotics except for a certain ostrich trimmed number I am looking at. Ostrich and pony fur give me the willies.
-Stiff cheap leather that sort of cracks rather than slouches.
-Tired of dark linings. Such a pleasure to be able to actually see things in the bag with the lovely light lining.
-Any zipper that doesn't move smoothly.
I'm also deeply traumatized by seeing too many black nylon bags in the late 90's

My problem the handels, either it's a shoulder bag or a tote. some totes have long handles that if you are 5'5 looks too down there. Or the shouldger bag that you can't swing easily.

- light patent leather - always turns yellow
- fur
- patchwork - too busy or fussy
- light suede
- anything that looks more like the animal than a bag
- delicate leather that water-stains even in mist
