This may be an unpopular one since it was heavily advertised but…I actually liked Hermes barenia and am planning on buying it once my sample runs out. Initially disappointed it didn’t have hints of leather but I still liked the scent on its own merits. I think it was not set up for success when the they chose to name it barenia. JMO lol

Heard about Born to stand out’s Dirty Rice and I’m intrigued… Unfortunately I didn’t find any place to try it in my area…

Finally got my hands on a sample and well, surprisingly, I don’t like it. The rice note is there, the expected warmth, but what comes in my mind is “not subtle”. I was hoping for a dupe of the discontinued Eau de riz sensuelle by Kenzoki. The spirit is here but the scent is to heavy, too blunt, not refined if I can’t say so. I’ll stick with Diptyque Eau Papier…

Chanel have a limited release of Coco Mademoiselle intense coming out (in the UK at least) on February 28th. I went through duty free in Manchester airport last week looking for the 7ml twist and spray purse version as it has been out of stock for ages on the Chanel UK website. She mentioned a limited edition and pulled out a brochure and showed me a photo of a version in the magnetic cage like the recent holiday versions but with a pearl strap. I *think* there was a double CC charm on there but can't remember as I didn't have much time to browse. Wish I was able to take a photo now. I am a sucker for small and cute and love tiny purse size fragrances.

I haven't restocked on Acqua di Parma-Arancia di Capri in nearly a decade, but I might go back to it as it brings back pleasant summery feels. I just finished a sample of Henry Rose-Windows Down and I really like it, so considering getting a full-sized version. I'm also looking for recommendations for honeysuckle notes, but Aerin-Mediterranean Honeysuckle is way too overpowering.

Gone down the rabbit hole of Middle Eastern perfumes over the last couple of months. Yesterday I ordered Paris Corner Marshmallow Blush and Lattafa Victoria. They are blind buys cos I couldn’t find anywhere selling sample sizes. So fingers crossed!

Unfortunately I was dissapointed, I don't like either of them on me I have just bought Shalimar again after decades,

I'm going back to perfumes I wore 30/40 years ago. I want to try Must de Cartier, although I was told that the one I used is rested. I also want to try L'Heure Bleue. I must be in a nostalgic mood!!
