Me too. Week synthetic fruit juice.
Estée Lauder took a niche brand and turned it into a mass market “pseudo exclusive”

On me Jo Malone are very weak , get a sample maybe?
I bought Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay and like many people found it weak and not long lasting. Strangely when I got halfway through the bottle it became very strong. I've had this happen with other perfumes. I don't know what it is - maybe it oxidizes when more oxygen enters the bottle. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience.:confused1:

I believe they're mostly eau de cologne or toilette so I wouldn't be super surprised that they dont have the same longevity as something with a heavy base such as a wood or vanilla.

The fragrances I like tend to be on the lighter fresher side too. My skin tends to react strongly to jasmine so some scents can become too overpowering.

Erawan from Dusita , i had it on my mind for a long time and decided to add it to my collection after my trip to Paris was cancelled (blame Brexit and French custom officers!!!) Each of Pissara's perfumes(owner and the nose behind the perfumes) come with a poem of her late father , a renowned Thai poet! Erawan has won in the Fifi Russian awards competition! Notes: pettitgrain from Paraguay, hay , sage , lily of the valley! Very good longevity too20190313_115537.jpg20190313_115452.jpg

I am trying to limit my perfume purchases since I have too much perfume already but - last weekend I was passing the perfume section in the store and saw they had testers of La Selection Caron fragrances - which are hard to find. So of course I had to sample them and I got Parfum Sacre (a wonderful rose perfume with cinnamon, myrrh and pepper. The pepper is not too prominent, thankfully and I love this one. Never smelt vintage Parfum Sacre so I have no idea how it compares).
The other one I got was Nocturnes which is a glorious aldehyde fragrance, probably my most wearable one yet.

It’s hard to say no to Caron
I promised to myself to stop buying. But saw 3 vintages on eBay. And then went to Dubai Mall’s PERFUMERY&Co, a whole floor of exclusives! It’s s surprise I only brought home 2 new bottles

Caron has reformulated their perfumes at least a couple of times (with changes in bottle design too), so that makes it difficult to purchase their perfumes without testing them first, because each version has minor changes to the scent. The La Selection perfumes are the newest versions but luckily, they have done a good job with this version and I was glad I got to test before buying.

A whole floor of exclusives sounds wonderful. I would have a very hard time deciding what to get.
