Philippe Cassegrain, President and CEO of the brand, and his son, Jean, general manager of the leather goods brand, and his sister, Sophie Delafontaine, Artistic Director, went on site to demonstrate to the team "the solidarity of the 'business facing this violence'. The leaders were accompanied by 25 employees from the historic Segré factory (Maine-et-Loire) and the Combrée garment workshop who came by bus to Paris.

What a senseless tragedy.......I was there exactly a year ago, and have beautiful memories of making some purchases there. The sales staff were so gracious, and the store was a beauty.
Yes, my parents were there for their 25th anniversary and brought back many goodies. My mom always said the staff was so patient and nice as my mom hunted for gifts for her sisters, friends, and me. I'm sad for the people who were so kind to them whose lives have now been disrupted.

Had my first two Longchamp experiences in Berlin, one at the KuDamm store location which was staffed by two lovely gentlemen, and one at the store within the KaDeWe where I had a wonderful experience with the sales associate that sold me my first LC. I was a little disappointed at the lack of selection colorwise of the Le Pliage nylon totes in both locations, I will admit, but other than that I had great experiences in both.

I'm planning a trip to the Longchamp store for my birthday next month to pick up a present for myself :graucho: and I can't decide which NYC store to go to!! I've enjoyed experiences at both, and I don't really have SA relationships. So, the 5th Ave flagship or the beautiful Soho store? And both are in great areas for further shopping  Wonder if one gets more stock than the other?

Hey July Babies, unite!
I think the stock at both is about the same since they are both flagships with huge tourist traffic.

As for shopping, LC is on the same block as Mulberry (the manager there is fab) and across from Burberry and COS. If you like Mango, Soho has the only store in NYC. The only Mansur freestanding store is also in Soho. As well as the only Everlane NYC store. The only m851 store. Lauderee restaurant.

The 5th Av store on the other hand is across the street from the Nike flagship, a block away from Coach House, and the Uniqlo flagship. It's a few blocks away Saks where you can fondle as much Moynat and Loewe as you want. (I recently shopped the whole handbag floor there last month - got a YSL Sac De Jour for my mom after looking at LV, Bottega, Loro Piana, Gucci, Celine, Loewe, Givenchy, Prada - and thought the Saks staff was terrible tho.)

Ooh, such a great point! Soho has way more smaller brands. I kinda like the vibe of walking around and shopping there. It's so pretty!

My aunt was trying to buy shop at Barneys once and the SAs were so snooty with her she left! Terrible that this happens. On the flip side, I do find it easier to try on bags at the department stores than walking into the boutiques. The SAs leave you alone more there.

Thank you for the suggestions! :flowers::flowers: I'll be sure to post pics of my day and my new LC bag
Mine’s July 19, how about you two?
Yes, July party!!! My birthday is July 19 too, which is why the number in my username is 19  So funny that we're birthday twins!

Lol, never made the connection with your username. Well I hope all of us July babies enjoy nice Longchamp presents next month! I’ve always found it convenient that the fall line launches in July. :graucho:

A YouTuber that I watched mentioned in her comments that the Longchamp at the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania will be closing. I’ll call them today to confirm. The one at the Short Hills Mall in New Jersey closed as well but that might have been a few years ago. Is this a new trend for Longchamp? I love the boutiques in NYC but loved the smaller boutique at the KoP mall. They recognize me when I shop there.
