I used to carry around a Sailor 1911 fountain pen, but I was constantly paranoid about it leaking (and spilling permanent ink all over the inside of my bag) so I stopped. Now, I carry around a Japanese pen =) I had a Montblanc too but I gave that to a family member because he was always using cheap-o pens ^^

I have a freebie pen too:laugh:...one from my DH's work but it has a cap and a felt pouch. I too am paranoid of pens exploding and ruining my bag so only ones with a cap and a pouch for good measure!

I LOVE pens/pencils....I thought I was the only one!!!! I currently have a Parker metal roller ball in my purse.I love to spend time wandering through the stationary store here where I live and I love Staples/Office Max.....I have never bought a pricey pen, always affraid i will lose it....but one of these days I will have to break down and do that.....
What a great thread!!!!

A Parker fountain pen. Nothing fancy, I had to use one at school and old habits die hard. Seems like hardly anyone in the US uses them or was taught to write at school with them. I love 'em.

My grandmother gave me one for my birthday when I was, I think twelve (I had actually asked for it, because I thought it looked cool when she used hers),and my teacher wouldn't let me use it at school (she said they were too messy!)

My husband tried to get me to use one but since I was never taught how when I was younger I press too hard and I broke the nibs (on a couple of cheap 'learner' ones) so I never went for a good one.

I bought it at the Hema in Holland. I think it was around 2 Euros. It's a nice ball point pen with silver and purple metallic. Nothing special but I am rather attached to it.
