NO PENS allowed inside (or near) my bags !

I always carry a charcoal pencil, tip carefully covered with a cap, inside a zipped case, one eraser and a small sketchpad.

The phone takes voice recording for notes.

I enjoy my Calligraphy pens at home.

OP, I'm finding responses to your thread very interesting!!! I suppose I look at pens as an accessory like a bag but that doesn't seem to be the trend. I know when I'm in an executive meeting having a nice pen is a part of the image, just like having a nice bag is part of the outfit, but maybe folks don't use a lot of pens at work

I don't use my good pens at work because too many have disappeared from my desk - I use the pens the company buys or give-away pens from conventions or businesses.

I do like to collect pens (to use at home) and have around 45 (the Space Pen I mentioned and a Cross fountain pen, and the rest are various souvenir or free or cheap ones).

Agree it's different if you are an executive or lawyer, then a good pen is part of the picture just like being properly dressed and having a nice bag.

My favorite pen is a Cross/Gucci pen that I found on the floor of my Chinese classroom, when I was an undergrad 20 years ago. Lol. It has great handfeel, writes beautifully, and I consider it my lucky pen. I put up flyers in the classroom, looking for the owner of this wonderful pen, but no takers, so it's been mine ever since. I have never had another pen this long, losing my nice pens instead of finding them. I keep it in a plastic ziplock, inside a plastic lined canvas makeup case. No chance of ink spillage there. Still can't believe I have had this pen so long.

A silver engraved pen that I no longer remember the brand of - I keep it in a leather slip cover. I have long espoused using a leather case for pens in a handbag. This cover is from Levenger and I don't believe they sell it any longer but they have others. I know that Paradise Pen also carries leather slip covers for writing utensils as well; about $20 each. A worthy investment, since ink in a handbag ruins it for anybody else but the owner.

A refillable Ritz-Carelton silver pen. My favorite.

I've had no experiences with a pen leaking or making marks inside my bag (knock on wood).

indiaink - Beautiful pen! Love it.

I like miniture pens. I have a mini gold coach pen that goes with my coach agenda. I have and mini chubby silver pen I got from ross the name is Elle(I keep this one in my wristlet or zip pocket in my purse) and I have a skinny mini silver pen I use with a leather jotter. I also have a nice pen I got with my employer's name engraved on it, I keep that one in my purse organizer it has a cap on it. I guess I should find something to hold the pen I keep in my wristlet so I won't have a spill.

Thanks for all the answers and opinions, it's nice to read them. Your pen looks lovely, Indiaink! :) And oh, apparently my pen is ball-point, not rollerball as I first said. Despite my pretty good English skills, pen terminology is apparently too much for me. ;)

Hugs, BellaPippa :)

I actually carry a pewter pen that looks very similar to yours but it's not engraved. I've had it about 12 years!
