Thanks girls! It is reallly dissapointing though, i got really attached to the ABBEY. And the price was soooo GREAT, i got it from bluefly with a coupon so got it for 36% off retail. im sooo bummed and now im trying to save up some more money to get another bag. Do anyone of you have a pic of the platino abbey. i really wanna see it.

This is my platino Abbey, with the 2 pockets. The leather on this one is calfskin, very soft, though it's very delicate! The pigskin bags have one great advantage though, the leather is much more durable than the calfskin.

Oh, and by the way, I believe the leather on the classic jolicoeur and some luggage pieces (the ones with GG plus) are also pigskin (the leather looks 'cracked')? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Sorry to hear about that trulyobsessed, I have friends with the same cultural and religious concerns as you but have never encountered this problem as they all like LV. Not that I know what material LV uses. I hope you get a good price for it on eBay though!

So there is a great conclusion to my drama. I got the Abbey platino today!!! I called the Gucci in downtown and they said they would look for it and called me back a few hours later and i guess there are only 4 left in the whole country and she had one!!! So my dear husband went and picked it up...i the packaging and the box. it was seriously so pretty!! I am soooo happy! the bag is gorgeous, and the leather is soooo much softer and nicer than the black abbey. I am sooo delirious with happiness. Thanks to all you girls who helped me out.... oh btw..ill post pics tomm!!
