Imho yes it is very boring. If its comfy go for it, but i feel the selection out there is so huge to have to settle for such a dull design. I like to have fun with my accessories!

I'm older than you and wouldn't carry it because it's a little on the "safe" side. It's a nice neutral bag. But there are so many other bags out there with personality. So it's not "old" at all. No worries there. It's just kind of meh.

I don't think it looks too old or too boring, but I would had bought another bag. I am 31 and think it is neutral, i.e. I don't feel positive or negative about the bag.

If you like the bag but want to make the bag look "younger" maybe you can add some bag charms?

I think it's all in how you style it. Look at how popular Chanel flaps are because of how they styled them on The Hills.
