So funny how some of your dealbreakers are things I love in a bag!

I wouldn't say I have any dealbreakers because if I love a bag enough, I will always make exceptions. But, things I generally do not prefer in bags are:

- Middle dividers or a lot of compartments (slip pockets and zip pockets don't count) - I love a big open space. Totes like the Neverfull are my jam.
- Large bags/totes that come with NO inner or outer slip or zip pocket, even if it does come with a pouch (ex: the YSL shopper tote). I like something "secured" to the bag to put my phone and key pouch in.
- Generally speaking, I do not like zip closures. I find them too much work and not ideal for easy access. Definitely prefer a flap, magnetic closure, or open top.
- Bags that only come with a hand-carry and/or crossbody or long-shoulder carry option. My favorite carry style is short shoulder.
- Mini bags that are too small for my phone to fit into

1. Dividers, but I LOVE my Coach Cassie. So, go figure .
2. Fussy closures
3. Too heavy.
3. Shoulder or handheld only. I prefer both. My favorite bags are my mini Pashli and the Cassie both of which have a shoulder strap and a handheld option. I have more, but these are my favorite. I rarely carry my Chanel.
4. Don’t fit my phone (non-negotiable, period, end of discussion)
5. No structure.

1. Tassel and fringes. Makes elegant bags looks too "bohemian".
2. Contrast stitching that is not complimentary. Say, black bag with hot pink stitching or brown bag with blue. I used to dislike light brown colored bag with white stitches however I came to okay with that recently.
3. Exaggerated buckles or closure. Some nice bags out there have exaggerated size of buckles or closures which makes the bag looks out of proportion
4. Cheap looking leather when the price is expensive
5. Chain handles with additional leather handles. Where the chain handle should go if I want to carry the bag by handles?
6. Contrast piping and cheap, shiny looking piping. I prefer "turned in" edges like Launer bags.
7. Tacky hardware and closure and cheap chain. So far I like Bvlgari chain because the appearance matches the price of the bag.
8. Too many embellishments with no sense of aesthetic
9. Scratch prone leather

Stiff boxy super structured bags, not too bad if they're small, but definite no for me if they're med or large.

Loud logos. Subjective, of course.
Oh god, yes! I get the LV monogram, it's their signature, but when I saw 'Balenciaga' spread across the entire bag, I was like, "Really?.." And the t-shirts with giant logos, too. I do like designer clothing, and I like it when you can tell it's designer. But not because the brand name is written in huge letters across the front of the garment. That's just gaudy.

Same with the stiff box-like bags. They're nice when they're small, but I don't want a giant box hanging off of my shoulder. Looks kinda awkward to me. (Sorry all those who love that look! Everything's subjective!)

Chain strap. Too noisy and annoying. Not comfortable.

Complicated closure system. Don’t have time, don’t want to fiddle with it.

Sharp pointy corners that get scuffed easily. I hate, hate, hate scuffed corners!! It makes a four figure bag look so bad. If I see preowned bags with scuffed corners then no matter how much I love the style, I pass.

+1 for complicated closure system.

I'm incredibly tacky in that regard. I love the logo look.
