I get you.
At this price point, if I’m buying a “new” bag, I expect it to be spanking new. I don’t mind a vintage bag or knowingly buying a used one.. but if it’s from H directly and “new”, it should be new. It would annoy me.

From H, it needs to be new and not returned! I would take it back with the pen. I would think there is a quality control to confirm bag is original and in original condition- such as checking that someone did not use it and leave a pen. They should try better. My two cents… lovely bag!

Just out of interest with the increase of distance selling, what do you expect H to do with a return that a customer genuinely just tried on and realised it wasn’t for them?

Picked up some fun things today! I was excited they had so many shoes in my size so kind of binged. :blush::giggle: I missed out on the Funk boots last fall so I’m happy they’re back and in this beige color. The teddy chypre are in vert anglais and very comfy and cozy. Also really like the CDC bracelet in lizard and the pocket Kelly belt in biscuit/nata. Even hubby got a pair of sneakers! (He never wants to get anything for himself!)

I expect H to accept returns, and resell if unused. I also expect H to confirm the item returned is in its original condition, check serial numbers, clean inside. Same as I would expect of any other label. It seems from post, that no one at H bothered to ensure bag was inside, clean inside, same item retuned as that originally sold.

Thanks for your response and I agree, I just asked because of your initial response in bold as that would be unrealistic to expect a company to not sell returned items in saleable condition. The item in question only appears to have a personal item in it, perhaps as mentioned before the previous customer put their items in it and tried it on and decided it wasn’t for them.
