What is your hope for the future of Coach?

I've been buying Coach since 2001. My taste seems to have changed with Coach over the years. I've loved all types of leathers, textures and styles - eg the stand out colours for spring collections, legacy stripe on lining, optic Cs, limited editions for anniversaries etc.
I'd usually buy a bag and add keyrings to liven it up, or a skinny scarf. And an umbrella! Would love new umbrellas and/or rain hats.
I agree with above comments about the older key chains being more fun and detailed (a lot of animals - fluffy, hairy...).
I prefer plain soft (ish) leather now (glove and pebbled) in a choice of seasonal/relevant colours.
This season, I'm put off by the new sig c bags with embellishments - and the bags that are too structured/hard. But the Keith Haring set is fun so that's keeping me occupied for now.
And, considering the amount of investment made by all of the loyal fans - I'd like a loyalty scheme for the frequent purchasers (and have it internationally). I'm not aware there is anything currently. Some incentive for staying with the brand - not sure what this could be exactly - a membership, discounts, gifts, or points - but something with a benefit. I think Singapore had something at one point where you got a gift after spending x.

For me coated canvas and signature should be outlet only just my opinion

Hmm, interesting. I do admit I really like coated canvas for rainy seasons and the bendable feeling (at least some of the time). I also like signature in conservative styles, and would be on board with those being outlet only if there were more outlet stores around and/or constant visitation to the outlet website (I recall that it used to be visible for browsing only when they had sales, not sure if it's still the same). Thanks for sharing!

I want them to stop discounting. They have so much to offer now with recent "hip" spokespeople and collections that it would make the brand so much better to know the prices remained stable. I hope they keep going with soft leathers, too. I find many of their leathers way too hard and stiff and think softer leather makes for nicer quality bags. And maybe change the shipping for online/store orders? They are a complete FAIL in shipping, just throwing items carelessly into boxes. I guess my hopes are customer-servicey more than design.

I agree about soft leather! It's the best feeling! Also agree with their shipping. The products are expensive and shipping isn't cheap either and we pay for it! They should improve the quality of their shipping! Thanks for sharing!

Amen to that! I have about 150 Coach keychains but have probably only bought 2 new styles in the last 2 years. They're not only more cheaply made and less detailed, but far too many of them are just plain BORING. (I won't even go into the ones with spring gate clips that won't stay closed!)

I agree, and think that this is an issue in general that is becoming more commonplace. Higher costs and inferior, shoddier and cheaper products. Thanks for sharing!

I am most definitely loving the 1941 line. I love the minimal branding and quality leathers inside and outside of the bag. Having said that, I don't want the bags to be too plain, but I think this can be remedied with nice hardware or some additional leather details (such as what they did with the "link" bags).

I get what you're saying, I agree with your ideas. Metal zippers, kisslock openings, etc. Thanks for sharing!

Completely agree about soft leather! Also agree, they should return to jacquard signature patterns of the past (Signature Hampton, Bleecker Signature, Optic Signature). I like the idea of more promotions and gift/discounts. Thanks for sharing!

And, regular straps that you CAN purchase separately (i.e. when you don't like the Dinky chain ones ;))

And make sure the replacement straps are long enough to fit buyers of any height and body type! That means at least a 24-25 inch maximum drop so that even the model-tall ladies AND the guys (!) can wear them crossbody comfortably.

One more thing, and I know I'm :btdh: with this. But how about handbags with useful outside POCKETS? Maybe even (gasp!) on the front of the bag? Something that can actually hold a phone or a set of keys or something a little bigger than just a lip gloss?

WE NEED POCKETSESSSSSSS, PRECIOUSSSSSS !!!

I completely agree about the straps. It is super frustrating. I returned a Dakotah for that very reason. As I am 6" tall, the only bag that I have found that fits me crossbody is the whipstich saddle bag. The saddle 23 straps are shorter and do not work. The Dinky chain strap, all of my Legacy duffle straps, and the Snoopy duffle strap are all too short and awkward. I have looked into buying or having my straps lengthened by a cobbler. My Dragonfly duffle is also too short, but it is such a great bag that I just deal with it.
I agree about the pockets too, I love how those Legacy duffles have the nice zipper pocket on the outside.

For more cool collabs because they're very different. Stuart does a good job with this bc the cartoon characters he chooses are a bit under the radar, old school or simply classic. As a milennial that's what drew me into Coach as of late. I wasn't seeing this being done with other brands so I appreciate it. I would also love for Coach to create a fresh and modern monogram print as I mentioned in another thread.
