Glad you're happy with your new bag! :)

My holy grail bag would definitely have to be my Lyndi Clutch by Kooba:

The strap can be removed so that you're left with a handheld clutch, or I could choose to wear it over the shoulder. I love that Kooba's given me the option of doing that. I also love how chic and perfect it is for a night out. I usually wear it when I go out to dinner, but I would totally wear it out to a party too.
@labagista- I'm loving your Lyndi Clutch from Kooba, have you seen their latest Lyndi in suede? SO PRETTY!!

My Chanel vintage 2-sided flap would be my HG... it's been at least 30 years in the making :)

I remember being influenced by the iconic image of the flap and perfume bottle in my late teens and throughout my 20s. I remember when Chanel and Givenchy seem to share the same style sensibilities and I would wear those Parisienne style black and white ensembles and ballet flats I got for cheap at West Village shops. I noticed a Chanel tote for the first time on a New York City subway. The young lady had long smooth brown hair with bangs and I surmised a Chanel bag was something that was passed down from mother to daughter.

In my 30s I used only Chanel makeup and perfumes. That was around when eBay was formed, I saw the Chanel flaps going for only $400-$450 and even then I couldn't justify the price for a medium flap. Little did I know! So when I turned 45, as a gift my dh purchased my choice of a vintage pre-owned Chanel flap in need of TLC. It took me some time to restore it to a better condition and it was well worth the effort.

So while I wasn't actively seeking the "holy grail" for 30 years, the Chanel flap has been in my consciousness for that long! :)

I would love to hear what everyones dream handbag is.:smile1: And are you saving for it or managed to buy it?

And if you did get it. Is that satisfaction or did a new HG pop up in its place?

Girl, I have a list! Lol

I'm planning on buying a new Miu Miu when I go to Hong Kong after Christmas, provided they have the exact style and color I've been obsessing over:

After that bag, I'd love to get a few Valentinos. I've admired them for so long, but they're generally more costly than the three brands I've generally come back to over and over again (Kooba, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu). Well, the Valentinos I like the most are more expensive anyway.. I just love that Valentinos are so ultra-feminine and pretty. And I also love when leather is pleated, pin-tucked, ruched, ruffled, whatever. I love beautiful leather and beautiful detail!

My favorite Valentino is here: (I'll probably have to find one or more used, since I'm pretty sure some of this is old-season)

Sorry for the poor picture quality. It's the only photo I could find!

For somewhere down the line, I'd also love to obtain a few more Zac Posen handbags. I have two Posens now, and I must say, I'm loving the brand so far.

My number one Zac Posen want is a Sistine bag, but these are from a few years ago and VERY hard to find. I'll be looking quite a bit until I nab one, I'm sure.

I'd also like a second Posen just like one I already have. I'm in LOVE with the Daisy, and I have it in Beige with Black trim. Now I'd like another Daisy in slate:

Unfortunately, both of the Posens are quite old, and I'll have to look a while to even have the chance of owning a pre-owned one.

I'm in a similar situation with yet another bag, a Kooba Ive been trying to find for a few months now. Again, she's a bag from a few seasons ago that I over-looked, and now I definitely regret not purchasing:

So there's my list. :P Not really a single Holy Grail; just a bunch of bags I'd love to have, in order of priority. :) What about yours?

Great list:D

I sort of separate between my "to get" list and my Holy Grail... I guess the HG is the Birkin in a lush orange---

My to-get list goes something like this:

LV speedy 35 in Damier Ebene and azur (already have the mono)
LV kepall mono in 55 or 65
Lv agenda (with the vintage ad for purses on front)
Vernis cles in pomme
Cles in damier
Steven sprouse leopard shawl in purple

This is just the stuff Im "consistant" about... I CONSTANTLY see things by Chanel, MiuMiu, prada, gucci and lanvin that Im DYING to get.... But Im trying to limit myself.

Recently saw a partybag by louboutin that im DYING for!!!

I was just thinking about Holy Grails...and now that I know how to streamline my "functional" and glam bags, I think mine is the LV Multicolor Black Speedy.

I know some might think it tacky and too young, but I just love how fun and substantial it is (all that hardware!). Can't stop thinking about it and I know it loses its value as soon as you take it home, but so far, I'd really like to have it brand spanking new and just stare at all the 33 different colors :)

I do need to get my other bags first and then I can start thinking about an actual purchase :)

It is now on its way to me!

So once I have it, my new HG will be:

$(KGrHqF,!n0E9csYvEuyBPnVi0bIV!~~60_57.JPG

Hermes Rubis Birkin (not picky on leather) with PHW. I stalk my H SA for this bag :D

A classic HG for me - black Birkin with gold hardware. It's a "gotta save up for the money" issue, but also, I personally wouldn't feel right carrying a Birkin just yet, while in my late 20s. It's more something that I envision I'll have toward my late 30s or in my 40s. In the meantime I'll happily carry other designer bags and wear H scarves, but for some reason I feel like a Birkin would really only line up with my self-image when I'm older and hopefully in a higher income braket. Don't know if that's a weird notion to have.
