I have spent a little over $5k for one bag. To spend that kind of money on myself I always feel guilty though. I could use the money for other things or a nice trip etc etc. If I could only buy guilt free I would definitely be buying more higher end  Not really sure where the guilt stems from, its not like I’m financing my bags on a credit card. Maybe it’s because I’m switching my bags so often and quickly obsesses over a new bag. I’m not going to stop obsessing over the next bag just because If I were to purchase a higher end bag. I wouldn’t love it anymore than the bags I currently have. So probably for me a $5k bag is my comfort limit but never say never lol
I completely understand the “guilt” issue.
I personally think it stems from the fact that women are so used to nurturing others & somewhere deep down we have feelings of not “deserving” to give ourselves expensive things.
When men spend many thousands $$$$s on themselves, they usually don’t feel guilty but very proud.
Just a thought ‍♀️.

I guess it depends on the brand and bag. My highest to date was 10k and that was a sickening feeling I would never repeat. If I stay around 5k or lower, I feel fine with it. No bag is really worth these amounts and my super happy price point is $1500-2k.
I almost exactly mirror your comment. The most I’ve paid is $6000 and I didn’t like the feeling because it just seemed like too much for a bag. At that point, I’d rather add money and buy jewelry.

$5k or less is ok. $2500ish feels reasonable.

Two key points though. I can happily decline to pay more than $5k because I really don’t see anything I want that costs more - I bought my Chanels a few years ago and am not into Hermes. And, my collection is well stocked (can’t ever say “complete” LOL) and stable.

So, both of these factors means I’m not hunting for anything. Who knows what I’d actually be wiling to pay if I saw something incredible. I still lay bets it would top out at $5k but never say never.
