I like Lauren Merkin too. I've seen a couple Hobo International clutches that are cute (from time to time but I can't promise anything now). I have tons of clutches but for going out (events) I agree that for me black and gold are my standards. Nordstroms sometimes has interesting things.

I really like my silver patent kooba penelope clutch since it has an optional chain strap and goes with almost anything. It retails for $345 and now it's past season so if you can still find it, it's going for much less. It also comes in gold or other colors. Here's just a stock picture of it that I found.

Hobo clutches are nice, they usually have built in credit card holders so that you don't have to carry a wallet too. I found this one at Nordstrom.

I'm looking to buy an evening/night out purse, small to medium size, not necessarily black in color, a color that will go with everything and stand out, cost Euro200-250 max....a purse that will go a long way...

I'm not sure about the LV Monogram Pochettes or the Gucci Wrist Walllets...dont know if Monograms are my kind of thing for an evening purse?
And recommendations with photos will be great appreciated, thanks in advance!

Hi Bernbaby, the LV monogram pochettes are great in that they hold a lot. However, they may not go very well with evening wear. LV does make a pochette in epi leather. I have one and like it, particularly if I'm not carrying a lot. It also works well with both casual and formal wear. However, since I bought my Chanel Wallet on a Chain (small purse/large wallet with room for phone etc) I haven't used it much. I have some small accessories from Prada and I love their nylon - I think even the nylon wristlet/clutch can be used for evening. I hope this helps.

It really depends on your style! Maybe a YSL Y-Mail clutch or a LV Pouchette or a cute BV clutch. My personal favorite is a vintage one my mom found for me to match my prom dress--I still have it and carry it regularly when I go out.

However I am also leaning toward the Prada Bow Wristlets...will have a look.

...when I don't have the social life to go with them??? My weakness is impractical bags - embellishments, delicate fabrics etc. - bags that are way too small for everyday use. Why do I keep buying them? When I do go out in the evening I go to a restaurant with my partner or with my girlfriends, nothing flash. The only chance I get to use them is on my holiday, my two weeks in the sun. This year my carry-on bag was full of Fendis and a Judith Leiber clutch!

You should find a way to display them like art where you can enjoy them. I only have two evening bags but I have these shelves in my closet where I can enjoy them every day by just looking at them.
