$9500 on a Birkin in 2009 from Hermes. Then I thought, "I'll never do that again." I'm happy to have gotten it, but I really can't justify multiple purchases like that. So it will be my one and only.

Ooooh. I know what you mean. I've had that happen to me before and it's the worst. When that happens, I try to sell the bag. I figure there's no point in having that much money "sunk" into a bag when I can sell it and maybe even buy 2 bags for the same price that I love more.
It's crazy isn't it? Fashionphile quoted me $1000 and I thought that's insane considering they sell it for double the price and then I have to think about sending it to the US from Aus...too much hassle haha so I've learnt my lesson : no impulse buys!!
Ps. I have found a new way to carry it which I love...folding the wings in!! I think it takes the bag from trendy to classy 😊
