Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear the most money spent wasn't the most loved.

Thank you for your sympathy :smile1:
I ended up trading the bag for an AW Rocco, I love it but the money I lost in the trade still pisses me off a little. And the fact that for the same money I paid for the Tillie, I could have gotten a Bayswater, Alexa or Leopard Print Scotchgrain tote. But you live and you learn, Tillie taught me alot about me and my bag needs. So I guess I made a profitable deal anyway!

$4400 for an LV Capucines (one of my HG bags) and I still can't believe I own it! I was so thrilled to get it. Most expensive wallet would be an LV Groom Sarah. I bought it pre-loved from Yoogi's and I think it was $650. I bought it a couple years ago so I can't say for sure. That's actually where I bought my Cap bag too.

About $2700 for my gray Celine Blade with gold hardware -- https://www.bragmybag.com/celine-blade-handbag-spring-2014/

It's the only bag I've ever paid full price (minus a small discount) for, and I feel guilty about it sometimes because I know it wouldn't fetch anywhere near that price resale but, overall I feel good about it because I love it and feel confident I'll carry it for many years to come. It's so beautiful and versatile . . .

I paid about $300 (I think) for my favorite wallet, a summer gold Loewe. It's amazing - no regrets at all :).

About 1.200 € for a Chloe Marcie in tan, I love that bag and use it a lot.
Ma most expensive wallet is a miumiu, about 350 € a few years ago. It´s used daily
and still in a quite good condition, no regrets!

From what I read on tPF lots of members chase their dreams with multiple less expensive copies, similar tos, inspired bys and almosts and are only truly happy by p buying the one and only.

Life is not mistake-free and not is bag collecting. How good and useful a bag is, is not predictable by price alone one way or the other. I believe though, it's best to go for what's the real want/need (if affordable) at least there isn't that ever-hungry feeling.
Agree completely. I've learned the hard way that it's better to get the bag I truly want vs trying to substitute.

And, my most expensive / most well thought out spends are intentionally on the bags I will use the most. I want to put my effort into the bags I use regularly so I'm happy every day. 😄

+1 :smile1:

The most expensive bag I own is my Chanel M/L Classic Flap. Paid just under $5k CAD for it two years ago (bought in Paris, so saved 12% VAT).

I'm not a big spender on wallets really. I use a LV Cles as my wallet currently, and that was around $250ish CAD new (also was a gift). But before that I just used a $30 Coach card holder.

830 Euro for a preloved LV Retiro PM. And 350 for a new LV Emilie wallet.

I figured out a cost per use of 5 Euro for a bag and 1 Euro or less for a wallet are OK. I don't want to shell out 3,5 grand on a Hermes I will use less than 50 days a year!
