I know we are all passionate about handbags, but what is the most money you ever spent on a handbag and wallet? What's the brand?

My most expensive bag purchase was $1500 on a suede Gucci bag. My lizard Prada wallet was $550.

My most expensive bag was a Mulberry Tillie which I paid 670 € for. Should have gotten something else, it ended up being a very, very, VERY expensive mistake.
The most I ever spent on a wallet was 165 € on Lumi Sylvi Trifold. Still one of my favorites. Another pricey addition to my SLG family was a Chloé Marcie wallet. It was preloved so a very reasonable 125 €.

I'm more into preloved, because a bag or SLG is like a car; it loses alot of its value when you take it out of the store. Unless you buy LV or Chanel. Which I don't.

I spent $2500 on my holy grail bag - the Louis Vuitton vernis Alma. I don't use her too often because I want to keep her in impeccable condition (I tend to beat up my bags), but I have no regrets!

And as for wallet, I spent $700 on a Louis Vuitton monogram Zippy.

$1525 on a pre-owned Chanel Twisted Flap. Love that bag and am carrying it now after giving it a three week break.
I don't spend a lot on wallets. My most expensive is a yellow leather Michael Kors that I spent $48 on. I'm not even using it right now. I'm currently using a rose gold metallic MK card case which I paid $20 for at the MK outlet.

Thanks for sharing, sorry to hear the most money spent wasn't the most loved.

Amazing how much we will spend on an item, but the less expensive item still get used more.

I don't find this to be true.
For myself, anyway.

Me neither

For me it's not about how much I spend but how it suits me and fits my lifestyle, which means I will use it often. If it suits me and I love it, I have found myself prepared to spend a lot!! No regrets.

I agree

From what I read on tPF lots of members chase their dreams with multiple less expensive copies, similar tos, inspired bys and almosts and are only truly happy by p buying the one and only.

Life is not mistake-free and not is bag collecting. How good and useful a bag is, is not predictable by price alone one way or the other. I believe though, it's best to go for what's the real want/need (if affordable) at least there isn't that ever-hungry feeling.
