Yeah I did give Aspinal the number but I struggled with that decision. At least since I dialed up Aspinal myself, I knew I was really talking to them and they said they could transmit it for me to UPS in a secure way. I wasn’t going to provide it in response to UPS emails and calls since I couldn’t trust those were legit. I don’t know about the IRS—it doesn’t make sense that they would care that I ordered two purses?! And I think Aspinal covers the duties. No one has asked me for any extra $, at least not yet.

Finally got my Aspinal of London Lottie bags, after a long ordeal with UPS here in the US. Whew! Both are beautiful, but the clasp of the blue one has some crusty gunk on it. After all of the hubbub, I won’t send it back, but I’ll definitely think twice before placing another order.

I bought this Aspinal of London collab with Emma J Shipley off of ebay. I LOVE this collection and only have one piece, so I was desperate for this backpack, so I probably overpaid, but oh well. Only problem was a distinct musty/old persons house smell. It's on the dust bag also. Of course this wasn't disclosed in the ebay listing but this is so rare I have to keep it. I've already packed it with Bounce dryer sheets as I saw in another thread, but any other tips for getting rid of musty smells?

Put it outside in the sun. You might be smelling the beginning of mold and it is important to kill it. Sometimes the bag was fine when it was shipped but sealed inside a box can make mold start to grow. Since it is fabric, it is probably safe to wipe it down with a cloth that has been soaked in vinegar or alcohol.
