Nice what brand is this?
Maria Oliver. Wasn't familiar with this brand but stumbled across on Neiman Marcus website looking at crocodile bags for fun then discovered a different variety of their bags on Bergdorf Goodman website and a few on Saks too (as well as their own website). Never really thought about an alligator bag before but when I saw this one I thought it was cool. Was at Louis Vuitton store last night and even the SA there encouraged me to order since it was the last one and when he told me how much a similar bag from them would cost, it seemed like a "bargain" in comparison. Can't wait to see it in person and hope it doesn't freak me out as I'm not usually partial to these type of skins.

Just ordered this alligator bag from Bergdorf it was the last one  it will be my first exotic skin bag.

Congratulations , it won’t be your last, I’m warning you..I had my first aged 16 or 17, and I’m still hooked..even now, I’d still sell the few mock croc bags I have to fund crocodile bags..but I’m so useless at selling I may just as well use them until I no longer want to carry them..(I’ve got 9 bags with a wishlist of 4 very high end exotics)..

I love handbags and used to spend all of my time looking at bags, but I can’t buy any on my list this year, so I look at rtw now, although I’m on a temporary rtw ban as well!

Carry her in good health-she’s Beautiful !xxx

When I was 19 I was in Paris, looking for a navy bag, I ended up buying my first Chanel bag, which I carried for 10 years.
But one of the ones I regret not buying(there were several, including an exotic Chanel, and a crocodile Morabito), was a bespoke navy LV Mazarin in matte crocodile.

It was a beautiful bag, much nicer than the Chanel, I wasn’t living in Paris at that point but it would have been sent to me..I spent the diffence on rtw and footwear ..but the bag would have lasted far longer..

So I kind of did a thing today..... even though I have been on an extreme bender with purchases lately and keep telling myself I need to buy a 1 way ticket to ban island, and even though I have spent the last few days/nights obsessing over buying a Bvlgari serpenti bag after being introduced to them in this thread recently by @Kidney101 and deciding that would be my next splurge, I made a total impulse buy after receiving an email from Neiman Marcus about a Balmain x Barbie collab (I'm sure bc the movie came out today).

I clicked on the link only to discover a handbag that I find extremely gaudy but at the same time thought I couldn't live without. While I am not too familiar with Balmain (have seen some of their fashions which never interested me much - pattern looks like a "wannabe" givenchy/versace/fendi to me - but never their handbags), I do have a Barbie doll collection, so buying the bag made sense and when I saw there were only 2 left, panic set in. I realize there's no harm in ordering so I can see what it looks like in person as I can always return it (which I never end up doing) but it could be a fun piece to have given my love for barbies. Unfortunately, it won't arrive in time to wear to go see the movie tomorrow.

Keep them All, they’re very hard to get hold of, I tried!
Did you try ordering from Neiman Marcus website? I am still waiting for the B-Buzz barbie bag to arrive but I definitely like the round disco one. I also just discovered a different B-Buzz bag that is beautiful so I am thinking maybe I should exchange the Barbie one for that since the 2 barbie ones are so similar and more of a novelty. Scared it's going to arrive and I'm going to love both! Lol

So after much anticipation, my Maria Oliver alligator bag arrived yesterday and I am underwhelmed. It's cute but definitely smaller than I was envisioning it. To be fair, it did say mini so not sure why I wasn't picturing a mini bag. It's nice just not sure it's worth keeping at this price point as I don't foresee using it much and might prefer something similar but slightly larger.

2 other non-handbag packages also arrived yesterday and nothing seems quite right. One is a pair of LV shoes I love but the heel feels wobbly making them surprisingly hard to walk in. The pair I tried on in store was like that too but I assumed it was bc they were 2 sizes too big but now I realize they are beautiful but poorly designed. Feels like a sprained ankle or broken bone waiting to happen. Also got some jewelry from Neiman Marcus which I think looks really cool but is not very comfortable. 3 strikes and I'm out.

Sorry to complain, just feel like I'm in a rut and not loving anything I've purchased recently (other than Balmain x Barbie bag - that one exceeded my expectations). I might keep the LV shoes anyway bc they're so pretty even though I know that's silly. Now that I think about it, I don't LOVE the Lady Dior I bought recently like I should for that price point either (although I'm committed to that one). Even feel the gold jimmy choo is blah too after I made such a to do about getting a gold bag. I obsessed over finding an old Prada fairy bag and also felt disappointed by that when it arrived. Anyone else ever feel like this?

Maybe it's a sign to take a much needed break from shopping.

I'm sorry you've had so many disappointments recently. :hugs:
