My very favorite wallet is the LV International wallet, lasts forever, holds all my CC cards and my pen :D
Ok I have gone though 2 of them, in the last 12 years. I get a new one, when they start looking to worn.

my BEST is BV zippy wallet. thought at first that the weave might give in first, but to my surprise, i've been using it for 5 yrs now, and it's still perfect and the weave is still very much intact!

As long as you are buying a quality wallet and not overstuffing it then there really is no best brand... there is just prefered brand...

If you use the same wallet every day for years it will fall apart no matter what brand you purchase... that is fine if you do not like to change out wallets... just buy a new one when that one is done..

In a nutshell.

as mentioned before Hobo international is good. I also have some Abas wallets that I really like, great pockets and wear really well. I like my MBMJ totally turnlock clutch wallet for looks and function, but the leather is softer than my other wallets and the corners get worn faster.

I have a Longchamp wallet, from their 4x4 leather line, and it is indestructible. I've been using the same one for 4 years now, and except for some slight stretching in the cc slots (because I overstuff them) it's still brand new. I'm not easy on it, either.

I bought a Juicy continental clutch 2 years ago and proceeded to use and abuse it daily. Considering what me, the kids, and DH do to that wallet, I'd say it's pretty remarkable!

I used my Coach slim envelope everyday for four years straight and loved the style!! I was a Coach lover for years but one day I saw an LV bag I liked so I went into the boutique to check it out. That's when I noticed the Sarah wallet. (It wasn't called the Sarah back then though).
Both that Coach wallet and the Sarah have everything I love in a wallet: a ton of cc slots (10), one zipped section and two other sections for bills, receipts, etc. I love the fact that I don't have to fold my money either. The wallet can fit a ton of stuff but it snaps shut and doesn't get too bulky.

Find the style you love then the brand. For me the brand I love the most has the style I love!!

I have had several wallets - MJ wallet, MBMJ, some local brands but am absolutely taken with my Prada Saffiano wallet. It is in a gorgeous shade of purple, is so incredibly tough but still looks brand new. I look after my bags really well but tend to bash around my wallet. I have had it for over 12 months and it still looks new. I get tons of compliments when I pull it out.

Oooooh to me this is such a personal thing. Just like bags, it's not one fits all. I think it all depends on how many credit cards you use, if you like a traditional style or french purse style. I would just check out all the brands and the stitching and see what works for you. Just an FYI - I owned a Gucci leather wallet given to me by my mother which lasted approximately 20+ years until it fell apart. I think it's important that the wallet can withstand abuse and every day use.

I don't know if it will help you, but I ended up buying a gorgeous woven BV wallet and an MBMJ. - Both excellently made and great leather. Happy shopping!

I'm *hoping* Michael Kors....my first MK wallet is on it's way to me and I should be receiving it this week....it's GORGEOUS so I am *hoping* it will last a long time!
