What is diamonique??

Has anyone else here had trouble with their Diamonique pieces turning cloudy over time? QVC used to always claim that Diamonique wouldn't turn all cloudy like other CZs. My mom bought me a pair of heart-shaped Diamonique studs when I was a teen (very cute for a teen, I might add). I still have them, and they are cloudy. Pretty disappointing considering my mom paid $40 for them at the time which was and still is a lot for CZs set in sterling. I could have gotten the same quality at a store like Target for less than $20.

dont they have a warrenty on that?? go to their website and they will help you. my friend said she had a ring from there that lost its brillance and they replaced it for her. her newer stone is beautiful. been 2 years and she hasnt complained about them.

They're like real diamonds when it comes to cloudiness. They need to be cleaned or they start to look pretty bad. Once you clean them up, they sparkle again.

Also, as with real diamonds, the cut of a cz is what makes the stone look nice. Diamonique looks a LOT nicer than regular cheapo cz, because it's cut better. The Tacori and 100-facet lines from QVC are especially pretty.

I had a pair of real diamond studs that I was too scared to wear (I'm good at losing stuff), so I got pricey "simulated diamond" studs. When I lost one of those, I just replaced them with Diamonique 2cttw studs. I was surprised how much they look like my real diamonds (more than the simulated ones did IMO)-- people are always SHOCKED to find out that they're cz. For me they're perfect, because I lose everything and these are super cheap :shrugs:

^^ good to know. I always wondered if they actually looked close at all. I've seen the HSN stuff at an one of their outlets and that looked nothing like the real thing, IMO. I have toyed w/ ordering a pair of earrings for a long time now.

Does anyone know how Diamonique compares to Signity Star diamonds (made by Swarovski)?

I bought a 2ct princess signity and it looks almost the same as my genuine diamond in clarity and sparkle, except the genuine diamond has more of the "liquid ice" look, whereas the Signity has more defined facets within the cz.

I used to think Signity was great until I took out one of my 3 stone rings and the stones look yellow compared to my diamonique. Even my mom saw a difference and she has bad eyesight. I'm so disappointed with Signity!!

Wow, you need to contact QVC. They'll replace them. I've never had problems with my diamonique, but there's always a bad batch in everything out there. I lost a stone once and they replaced it with no questions asked. QVC has excellent customer service.

^ QVC is like a thousand times better quality than HSN! The settings, stones and materials are MUCH nicer. I won't order anything from HSN unless it's a real stone and <$25 :nogood:

wow, that's good to know... I was thinking of having my Signity set into a ring. Now I'm going to hold off...

what is HSN stones' quality?? i thought of buying earrings CZ from them before, but always though QVC was better for some reason?? and i dont know what but the shows are just more fun than HSN.

I have a diamonique "Circle of Love" necklace from QVC set in white gold and I have gotten more compliments on this one piece of jewelry than any diamond I own (and I have some gorgeous diamonds.)

When the diamonique stone is a believable size and set in real gold, no one can tell the difference and they are stunning.

But...ya know....nothing beats the "feeling" of wearing a real diamond.

^ The quality of their stones and especially their settings is pretty bad. It looks like fake cheap jewelery, whereas QVC could pass for the real thing IMO

Yes, I bought mine about 4 years ago. I don't know if the stones were always that yellow looking or if it turned. I know now it doesn't look as good as the diamonique and the signity was a lot more money.
