I think you are right about Gold being too casual and Etoupe is too ligth, where I live it rains a lot. I am 99% sure I want black, just want to go through all my options.

For bags this size, being handcarried is perfect for me as long as I still have the option of carrying it by the strap if I need to so I'm really thinking I'll love this bag.

I have a 35 in orange and adore it. I recently tried on a red in 31 and thought it too small for my frame as well. With the black, you can also have lots of fun with Twillys to brighten it up.

I tried on a 31 black and a 35 Blue Jean in January and the SA said she liked the 31 on me but I felt it was too small at least with a big winter coat. When I tried the 35 I immediately felt it was the right size. And certainly in black, I think the 35 will not look too big once it softens up.

It is fantastic!! You have GREAT taste! I did look it up & read thread w/ store opening in NY end of month. That might be incentive for me to drive up there since it's just shy of 2 hours away. If I get off my "ban" & decide to buy one I might have to "yell" at you!!:laugh::giggles:
