Thanks Using_Daddys_$$ and kirbymax! (and thanks for the suggestion Using_Daddys_$$)

So, I just twisted DH's arm to go to the nearby Chamilia store today and I got the Motherhood charm! This one has double duty, as it symbolizes both my daughter and I, as well as my Mother and I. I was especially drawn to this particular charm, because my mother has a Virgin Mary figurine that is the same Mother / Baby shape/figure that I always admired when I was a child. It couldn't have been the more perfect charm for this bracelet! <3

I also lucked out and got a bit more birthday money today, so am now plotting my next charm. It has to be a good one, cuz there likely won't be anymore until Christmas, LOL. Not sure if it'll be Chamilia in person or Pandora via mail...

Anyway, here's my bracelet now! :)

Nice charm! My hubby gave me a a pendant that looks like 9 years ago when I had my son. It's terrific to see the look on a charm.:w00t:

Thank you all for your comments on my bracelets. I get lots of enjoyment wearing them.

Today I wore the purple one. The pendant is on the large side but it's different and makes a big purple statement.

Because I wear so much black, I wear that one the most. And also I am a big fan of silver and gold, so it's my favorite.

I couldn't resist the gold and save this bracelet for more special occasions or when I'm wearing purple and green! Maybe the white glass would have been more neutral but I love color.

The girl is hooked! :yahoo:

I'm pretty sure I read you state that you were going to just get ONE charm for now, and then will wait until Christmas. Doesn't work that way I'm afraid. Once you've got one, you need more, and then more, and then more ... and you end up spending every spare bit of money on them. :D

Nice choice of second charm. Since you're the first newbie I've seen since I joined this forum a week or two ago I'll find it really interesting watching your bracelet grow.

Here are my bracelets - finally got around to taking pictures of them! The black one was reworked recently. :smile1:

CityGirlCharms, I totally agree with everyone else, they are absolutely awesome! How long Have you been collecting for? And also just wondering if you had to play with them much or did you have a plan, or they just worked out naturally? Thanks!:smile1:

Nelly4, those purple gold muranos do look great, bet you are not regretting putting one on layby!;) I like all the ones in the lotus style. I wouldn't be able to decide which colours to get.

Splurgeface, you are so right! It's impossible to stop. I have never been much of a jewellery person, but I am definitely hooked too!:blushing:

LOL, yeah... posted in the other thread. Just ordered the 2 tendril clips. But hey - I need them right? They aren't for fun, they're for FUNCTION! (Cuz the charms sliding all over the bracelet past the two threads in the middle is actually driving me nuts). And now I'll have 5 charms so it won't look quite so silly to wear out in public. Right? Yeah, that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it.....

And hear my words now... I am DONE until Christmas! NO MORE CHARMS! DONE! lol

I don't believe you either. I said the same thing when I first started my bracelet. I would say "I'm done" and then end up at the Pandora store the next day. At one point I was buying one or two beads every week. I even thought of everything in Pandora dollars. For example ---my husband would say "let's go out to dinner", and I would think --hmm, dinner for two is roughly $50 including tip = 1 Pandora charm. So I would say "honey I think I will cook tonight". But, I can finally say that I have finally gotten my addiction under control 2 bracelets later.

OMFG, I'm ALREADY thinking in Pandora dollars! I thought about it when we last minute decided to go out for lunch yesterday.

TWO bracelets later!!! Aaaahhh! I know I will have two, but I originally told DH it would take at least 2-3 years to get there.

I'm DONE until Christmas. I'm DONE until Christmas. I'm DONE.............

(and yes, I hear all the "yeah right!" comments you're thinking, LOL)

:p

LOL - I do this too! Everything I go to spend money on, I'm asking myself if I really want to "waste" that money when it could be going towards another charm!

Today I spent £4 on ice-creams for my kiddies. That's a fifth of a Pandora charm! Did they really need that ice-cream more than I need to save for my next charm? I very much doubt it! lol

I think the reason we get so obsessed in the early days is because we have seen so many lovely charms and bracelets but don't yet own one. I guess once you've got one or two (or three or four) bracelets under your belt its easier to calm down because you at least have some Pandora to wear and show off, and so are not so desperate for more.

In theory anyway!
