Here is a shot of Alessandra Ambrosio at the airpost ( also not on the tpf! lol!) ) with TWO MK's and the more visible one on the left is the Miranda which is a 2000.00 tote. Many of the ladies here on the TPF own Mirandas, or bags from the MICHAEL Collection..
Michael Kors does have a luxury line, but he also has an affordable line for everyone in Michael by Michael Kors Collection. If that makes him bad, then keep stoning him, he's crying all the way to the bank! lol! I don't take it personally, I just get tired of everyone saying he does not have a luxury line, when indeed, he DOES! Just need to get our FACTS straight here.

YES ! You are soooo right! All my friends loooove to fly to Paris with their MK bags! And Michael Kors is the BEST EVER. Thanks CinthiaZ for convincing me!!!

They really are the BEST So glad you agree!. We can always count on you visiting us here for these type of threads. So nice of you to pop in again! Please do post pics of some of your MK bags. We have many threads here in our forum you can participate with. Hope to ever see you in some of the other great threads we have here!

loll! The Miranda IS a tote! A very LARGE tote and is quite perfect for traveling. I don't particularly care for it myself either, as it is too large for me, but the POINT is, MK DOES have a luxury line of bags ranging from 1000.00 on up past 12,000.00. So to assume they only have the less expensive bags, is just incorrect. Even many members of our forum repeatedly state they like MK because they are affordable, however , not ALL of their bags are so affordable. The 'MICHAEL Kors Collection' is quite spendy. It is the MICHAEL, by Michael Kors Collection that most are referring to, often completely forgetting about their luxury line.

Actually, anyone who has spent a considered amount of time in Europe will probably agree that MK is marketed, sold and perceived as a relatively high end brand here. We pay premium price for it :D

Thank you Diamonds! That proves my point! Is good to know MK is perceived as a luxury brand in Europe! After all, it really is. Do you mind if I ask what part of Europe you are from?

By totes I mean larger traditional styles that are worn over the shoulder, such as my Neverfull and Jet Set. These are both used not only as travelling bags, but as my every day purse and to carry my school supplies.
And CynthiaZ, at what point in any of my posts on the TPF have I ever downplayed the MK brand or it's position in the market/price brackets? I'm deeply offended by the manner in how you replied to me; the tone of the message was needlessly aggressive and automatically jumped to the conclusion, based on assumptions, that I am ignorant of the Collection line which is designed to cater to the luxury market. Shame on you!

I saw that other thread and really?? No one is allowed to have a checker board design?? lol! The checker board design, just like the hounds tooth pattern is used by MANY designers. The way they nit pick MK is just ridiculous! As if he's the ONLY designer to use a checker board pattern. Unbelievable!

Here is a FENDI bag in a checker board pattern. The checker board pattern is NOT exclusive to any particular brand. I can't believe the silliness! lol!

For example, you look at the online presence of MK in the UK. The most extensive collections are found at Selfridges and Harrods, ie two of the UKs most famous department stores.

MK bashing is not common here, I've only ever had compliments on my bag choices!

You never have! i am afraid you are misinterpreting my point, only being that MK DOES have a luxury line. Is there something wrong with saying that??? Is that offensive some how?? Was never meant to be?? Also, a tote is a bag the does not zip closed. They generally will be open at the top or have a magnetic snap closure, unlike Satchels, that will have a zipper top closure. The carrying strap has nothing to do with it. Many satchels are also shoulder and crossbody bags. A tote simply has an open top.
