That particular thread was closed today by the moderators due to complaints from members within that forum, myself included.I brush it off mostly as every brand has a group of haters, even the high end brands. I know which thread you are referring to and I stopped reading/replying because I don't have time for so much negativity.
I would rather spend my time discussing what I like with others who like the same thing so I keep to this forum for posting about MK and ignore MK threads in other brand's forums!
I'm comfortable enough in my own skin to wear my purses because I love them and wear them for myself, not because they will magically elevate my "status" due to a price tag and designer name. While most of my collection is LV (grew up with them as my mom is a huge collector and I love the history), I have a few MK bags have their forever-home with me and are used and loved no less just because the brand is counterfeited or over-saturated.
As for accusations regarding MK "copying" other designers; it's true to an extent and almost all designers have a long history of doing it in order to create appeal to their target/focus customers. I have no qualms with this practice so long as the "inspired" bag has it's own unique twist and improvements, such as the Grayson having both more pockets and a wider opening then LV's Speedy. The only trashy "brand" IMHO is anything fake, as are the people who knowingly carry them.
