I love the variety of colors, textures, and shapes. He's got something for everyone!
I have to tell you, Michael KORS really is a high end brand, contrary to what many believe. His luxury line from the 'Michael KORS Collection' is worn by movie stars and the prices range from 1100.00 all the way to 10,000.00! While he has his 'more accessible to everyone' line, in the 'MICHAEL Michael KORS' Collection, which allows everyone to own his products, he still is very much a high end designer, with beautiful luxurious bags. .Agreed! Plus the quality, my MK bags have lasted as long as any of my actual high-end bags, so no complaints on that front.

MK NILE CROCODILE - REAL Crocodile leather! $9000.00!!
Actually, MK is well loved and purchased by many movie stars and fashion models that consider him a luxury designer. But you are right, they are considered contemporary, but he still has his luxury bags . The first bag I am showing worn by Jessica Simpson retailed at 1500.00, but there is another version that looks just like it, that MK put in the MMK collection for only 398.00, so other women could wear it as well. It is not near the quality as Jessica's, but very nice none the less. He may have screwed up by doing this as it cheapens the brand, and I'm sure Jessica didn't appreciate it.lol! None the less, MK does have his luxury line., it's just many are not familiar with it. You are correct, his luxury bags are not dominated by the general public, mostly movie stars and people that can afford them. I was talking to a gal at Michael Kors in New York on the phone, and was told that, he actually designs bags for movie stars that have never been seen on the market. She told me he has a huge clientele for this. It seems to be what I would call an 'underground' market that caters to a certain clientele, only.Sure, he may have more expensive handbags but those aren't the ones he's best known for. It's like looking at an actor/actress best known for a character in a successful movie versus when you see them in one of their lesser known works or unsuccessful endeavors; it's unfamiliar and while they may be excellent at acting perhaps that role or genre isn't for them. MK is best known for his contemporary styles and is not widely accepted as a premium designer. Ask those who strictly purchase high-end designer handbags their opinions and they will agree. Looking at the PREMIUM designer market, how much of the market has he dominated versus brands like Chanel or Burberry? Keep in mind, I'm not bashing the brand - I own several things from bags to watches to clothes, but if I'm going to buy an expensive bag, it's not going to be an MK, I'd rather spend that money on an LV, Prada, or Givenchy.

I really like the color ranges... he does a good job of offering a rainbow of choice... the styles are attractive overall too.
I also really like the liners.. i have a thing with some fabrics being 'picky' and sending my senses off lol and his simply do not.

OK. If the 9000.00 Nile Croco bag, doesn't show you he as a luxury line, nothing will. lol! And that lady from Michael Kors must be a big fat liar. They have no such clientele, she must have made it all up. Gotchya! All celebrities receive most of these bags for free. It's easy publicity for the brand. They send these items to publicists all the time.
