It's true: I don't own any bags or SLG from the various Michael Kors labels. It's also true I don't find them particularely attractive - although I have seen a few bags I consider good alternative to their luxury counterparts. Does this prevent me from participating in this forum?
I absolutely loved reading all the wonderful comments in this thread from members sharing their experience with this brand, why they love it, what makes them want more etc... I think it's very helpful to better understand a product. In fact it helped me appreciate it way more...
Until the negative comments started and it all felt like a high school cafeteria. This is very disappointing.
Now it's my turn to say what I appreciate about Michael Kors:
1. I have no choice but to admire his company's bold business spirit. From a somewhat confidential label, it is now a large player in the semi-lux / affordable-lux market. It's undeniable, the products are everywhere and for good reasons: they are affordable and they are on trend. That is a winning combination! And the affordability factor is also important because it allows the shopper to buy several bags in various designs / colors for the price of one high-end bag.
2. The quality seems decent for the price. Very important to me and to most buyers! (Don't you hate things that break five seconds after you take them out of the box?)
3. Finally, I truly believe that if this company gets its two problems under control (over-exposure and permanent discounting) it will avoid the fate of struggling
Coach. So I m looking forward to witnessing the brand's development and its future.
Play on!
