what do you girls think about this purse security charm?

I saw the presentation on qvc yesterday and they look useful, you use them to secure your purse to you shipping cart or a chair. I'm debatig if I will use them, I already have a purse hook that never remember to use.

Personally, I don't think this would stop anyone if they really wanted to steal your purse. It's basically just a bracelet. It would simple for someone to just unhook it and take off with your bag. Now if it came with a combo lock or key it would be useful!

I never put my purse in a shopping cart, and if I have to, I hold the purse handle with the same hand that I'm using to guide the cart. A purse stealer acts so quickly, that I never let mine out of my sight. At a restaurant, if there isn't an empty chair for my purse, I hook the handle over my knee and hold my purse between my feet. I don't put it on the back of my chair unless it can sit between my chair and the wall or I have a jacket that will cover it to also put on the back of the chair. I never remember to carry my purse hook, although I should.

You might be able to use the chains RM sell to hook your bag to something? It already goes with the bag and is just the simple clip chain.

They are okay in terms of security but in terms of looks, I think the quality on them is in stark contrast to the quality of RM, so I would look for something a little more luxe. I dont know if that makes any sense but for me, I cant slap on a cheap plastic charm on my RM bag (even though I am desperately looking for a charm to use as zipper pull) because IMO it would cheapen the bag. Thus, my hunt continues for the right zipper pull!

I agree that it looks like a bracelet. I don't see that it is secure at all. Also, someone can just zip your purse open and take your wallet.
