I’m a RN. I try to carry as minimal as possible. I use my mini PA as a cross body bag/everyday bag. I have a small locker that can barely fit much. I can only enjoy my bags on my days off and the weekends.

Former project manager, now full time mother. Husband works in tech. I wear LV and Balenciaga as "every day bags"; Chanel, the odd Gucci woc or YSL mostly for travel, and the Birkin and here and there for dates, dinners, etc.
I’m a pharmacist. I used to work in the hospital and never wore my nice handbags to work since they’d just be sitting in a locker anyway. Since I’ve transitioned to a “desk job” where I could definitely bring some of my high end bags, I still choose not to for practicality reasons.
I am an engineer that manages other engineers. I wear my bags to work. I don't actually have to go in the field very often.

I’m in real estate and yes, I wear my bags to work. My area is weird though as not many people know what they are (I kind of prefer it that way)
I work part time at a PE firm. Wear my bags to school and work. It’s mostly male at my work so they don’t care what bag I carry lol.

I work for an auction house. It's really exciting when we get vintage LV pieces in! I rotate my bags during sale days and get lots of lovely comments!
I'm a teacher! I will bring LV to school, but only the more casual crossbody options. I definitely want to get use out of my lovely bags as much as I can.

Yes, some people don't get it and just aren't into fashion at all but I don't care. I don't wear my things for them. I wear them for me. The ones that do enjoy fashion, it's nice to talk about fashion with them and I love seeing their own bags and accessories they wear to work.
People all have different interests and it's fine if some don't get mine. I don't get how people can spend hours playing video games or watch PewDiePie (videos of someone else playing video games).
It is too bad that people who don't share your passions feel the need to "put down" what you like by making comments about it being a waste of money. Maybe it's a little bit of insecurity or jealousy. They should just keep their comments to themselves.

I am shocked that people in LA would be so judgey. Do your friends have jobs as financially comfortable as yours?
Hi! I'm into HR and work in an office. Would've loved to carry my bags to work but people are just very conscious of what you're carrying. My Michael Kors purse attracted some comments so never even bothered with taking the high end ones like LV, Dior etc.

I don't think it's an income thing. My husband makes twice my salary and I'm well paid (he's in tech). Anyway - the point is that he thinks it's incredibly wasteful to spend the kind of money we do on luxury when you can get dupes for way less. He may never understand why I love my lux items but he agrees that just because he doesn't see value, doesn't mean I don't. I've tried explaining cost per use and the idea that these items tend to keep their value rather than depreciating. He still won't get on board.
I also think that people these days are trying to minimize their foot print with regard to consumption (myself included). Unfortunately all the Louis Vuitton brings me immense joy
