What did you buy to get a birkin/Kelly

While I do love H in quite a few categories, I find my desire for H goodies in general is linked to my desire for quota bag. Right now I’m happy with my H bag (quota and non quota) as well as my H fine jewellery collection so I’m more relaxed and considering of my purchases. I did recently buy my first homeware item (Avalon blanket!) for my new couch hut held back on getting matching cushions as I wasn’t sure about them. (I’ll probably end up getting it later). It’s a nice feeling to see my SA at leisure and not feel the need to push for a bag.

But to answer the OP question, fine jewellery was my main push in getting my B and K bags as H RTW doesn’t work for me.

We bought an Evelyne bag and hit it off with the SA. Just chatted for five minutes and shared some laughs. She then gave me her card and told me “Please feel free to text me if you need anything.” With the emphasis on anything. Wife’s birthday was coming up in like two months so I texted her expecting her to have zero clue who I was. She remembered and said “we have a 35cm Birkin coming in in Bleu Nuit. It will be perfect for her and it’s yours”. Two Kelly bags that same year and then another Birkin not long after that, so our boutique worked out well for us.

Wow! That’s amazing! Is that in the US? I live in the US. What state is your Hermes boutique at?

I totally feel you on the running out of things to buy even though there are more quota or hard to get items I would want. I only want to buy what I love. I have satisfied a lot of “needs” and there are certain categories or products I will never purchase. I expect my buying will slow down — in part due to the lack of availability of non quota items I would purchase - and make me less desirable to my SA and may make me less desirable for quota bags but I am not going to buy things just to buy them.
totally agree with you, I am waiting for H to release more new products; I love looking at their watches, but I rarely wear a watch these days, and I bought all the fine jewelry I like, don't need more SLGs except for special colours which is never available in Toronto lol Maybe more scarves if I like the design? I have young kids so I don't feel like buying their shoes knowing they will get destroyed fairly quickly...

My first purchase with Hermes Toronto was 2018, nothing major in 2019, and I switched SA this summer, most of my purchases were made this year. I expressed my wishlist at the beginning of the summer, and I got the bag at end of the summer. So in short, around 3 months?
If you don't mind me asking, do you believe you spent under what most people on TPF have speculated is the spend threshold? I just don't know if its too soon for me to ask my SA but my spend pattern is same, if not identical, to yours.

A lot of things I didn’t know I needed but love so much!! Haha. I love their change trays, mugs, pillows, blankets, and Oran sandals!! Also, their calvi card holders are great! I swapped out of my Chanel wallet for it. Their men’s rtw is also nice.

Hello everyone!
I am new to Hermes and have started to develop a relationship with my SA for the last month or so. So far I have bought a rose gold ring, my hubby had his bday so I bought a beautiful scarf and summer loafers . In about a few weeks I will be going to get some sandals for myself.
I do like everything I have bought so far, my Question is: is my spending in the right categories to be offered a bag? I know there are no guarantees of this but I do want to build a diverse profile with buying things I like..and obviously be offered a bag at some point. Thank you

I don’t think there are right or wrong in terms of spending. The most important thing is to buy what you love and have a great relationship with your SA. I switched SAs 4 times before I found my current SA.

I’ve been with her for almost 4 months and I got my B25 in the second month that I’m with her and I just got invited to do my very first SO couple days ago. Granted I spent across categories BUT I only buy things I love and by all means I’m not a VIP.

everyone has different approach and to me personally, connecting with the right SA is the key.

I think what people don’t say often and the important part that is not shared with new shoppers is looking around for the right SA. There will be lost spending. So often it’s said it’s all about the relationship which is true but what if you start with one that’s so so. New shoppers are told “just work on the relationship” and it’ll all be better. Why don’t you appreciate H more and treat your SA better? New customer gaslighting haha. In most cases it’s not the customer who is too difficult and no SA in the world will get them a bag. It’s not going to get better you have to switch. I think people should worry about categories when it appears the SA likes you and is trying to get you a bag but the problem is SM approval. Then it becomes important what categories. In a general sense outside of human relationships, the big categories are fine jewelry and watches, usually one piece above 5k. RTW is the next most powerful. Homewares are not as significant as before but I’d probably put that as third.

Don't expect your SA to be psychic. Be honest with your SA.
Read the signs if you suspect you are being played.
