I'm honestly wondering if this is really a gift with purchase fob.....or if this is some kind of 'test' from Coach. Yes, it does have a G on the style number, but it also has a price on it. You don't need a price for a giveaway item. They have already proved with other 'gifts' that items can have a style number and NO price put on it so it won't get sold....so why put a price on this if they don't want it sold? And why has no one found out what it's supposed to be given away with? I heard it was a giveaway in Asia during the 1941 launch from an SA, then 2 different CS's told me and another person that it was supposed to be a giveaway with certain Dinky bags here in the U.S.......but no one has gotten one as a gift and there's been a lot of Dinky bags bought by TPF'ers.

When trying to purchase the fob, some people are 'allowed' to order it and others aren't.....sounds like Coach is playing a game with us. Either it should be for sale to all or to none and if they really want it to be to none, then do not put a price on it. I have a tag for a giveaway item, it has the item number with the G, but no price on it whatsoever, so that can be done. I have also seen a tag with a $0.00 in the price area, so that can be done too. So, just what kind of game is Coach playing with us?

Now that I have my last PCE purchase in, let me start off by saying a big THANK YOU to the Coach TPF community for welcoming me with warm, open arms! You all have been so helpful and fun! As I have shared with some of you I am in the process of revamping my collection, which includes downsizing a lot from premier designers (LV) that I have quite frankly grown out of aesthetic wise, (i.e., canvas). The rich, quality leathers in the 1941 collection, especially the rogue, really excited me and I am thrilled with the direction Stuart Vevers is taking the brand! I am DONE for the rest of the year (with the exception of tea rose rouge 25 :smile1: ), and will limit myself to 1 bag per season. Make plenty of room for me on ban island! :smile1:

I agree- the 1941 collection is amazing & it was impossible to buy "just one." Coach is moving in the right direction.

Oh wow! I didn't even realize there was no price on the tag until this post. I thought it was just because it came gift wrapped and they took off the price.

I don't know if they are limiting it or all SAs are not knowledgeable about how to order things. I don't think they found it for me right away but my SA told the manager that I know things so it must be there. And then they found it. (I even showed them a pic of the charm and tag from here).

But then again you could be right about the exclusive Asia thing. Years ago, some Tpfers might remember the XL floral Maggies that were in the system long enough for a few Tpfers to order it before it was shipped off to be an Asia exclusive. I just missed the window. Yeah I still think about that one.

Awww thank you!! Fortunately between selling some LV bags and SLGs I was able to cover this haul with an out of pocket expense of about $300. ;) Wish I had the funds to keep both Coach and LV, but I know my personal aesthetic is leaning toward non-monogram, full leather bags, and I fell in love with the rogues and saddles! So Coach it is!

Such a gorgeous collection! Congrats on everything and enjoy them!

Really appreciate it! Thank you! :smile1:

Possible. I wouldn't put it past them, in theory.

On the other hand, though, I've also learned not to chalk up to cleverness, what can easily be explained by ineptitude. ...... (And I hate to say it, but ---- "especially with Coach.")

Oh wow! I didn't even realize there was no price on the tag until this post. I thought it was just because it came gift wrapped and they took off the price.

The tag with no price on it wasn't from one of the flower fobs, it's on a large gunmetal horse & carriage charm on a leather cord. It has a style number, but no price at all, not even zeros. I did notice the flower fob that sold on eBay had zeros on the price tag.

*sigh* Right on all counts.

I have the large gunmetal horse & carriage charm on the leather cord. It was a gift given to me during the holidays from the SA who works Coach at Macy's. It's my profile pic.

Gorgeous collection...congratulations!
I agree with everything you've said. I've had it with spending thousands on a bag that sits in the closet or goes out of style. Also...when was the last time you've bought a leather-lined bag? Even the premium bags are now using faux leather/suede or fabric. JMHO, but Stewart Vevers (Mulberry) and his 1941 collection is changing how Coach is perceived. I bought the Dahlia Dinky and the applique Tea Rose Dinky and love them...plus the optional chain strap changes the look and makes the Dinky look dressier. Great bags for a casual dinner/drinks out!
A lot of buzz, in the bag community, about the Rogue!
