I sweat a LOT-anti perspirants are always a problem for me.

I recently tried Secret Clinical Strength and it is so worth the money! At first I wasn't sure about it-but, I recently ran out and started using my regular stuff again (Arrid, Ban, etc.)-and I am soaked right away and they do nothing for odor. The Clinical Strength did-check it out!

Real Simple magazine just did a "road test" of deodorants and here is what they say:

best solid- Secret Clinical Strength
best roll on- Mitchum for Women Dry Roll On
best gel/cream- Dry Idea Clear Gel

I use the regular Secret but I think I'm going to try the Clinical Strength. It's so freaking hot right now I need all the help I can get. I wish I was brave enough to get my underarms Botoxed- that's supposed to work like magic.

Nothing worked for me at all so I got Botox and now am completely dry even in the hottest temps. There is nothing to be afraid of (aside from the cost); you barely even feel the needle it is so fine.

Ohhh, well now you have me REALLY interested! Could you give me an idea of cost (if you don't mind) and how long it lasts?

I have been using the Clinical Secret for the past few days and I do have to say it's the best I've tried so far. Much less perspiration but for fitted tops you need NO perspiration. I'm always amazed when you see pictures of celebs with sweat rings.

I had tried CertainDri and Drysol and, while both worked to some extent, the irritation was horrendous and I could not stand it and neither kept me completely dry anyway.

So, I was at the Dermatologist for another reason and came across a pamphlet on hyperhydrosis and Botox as a treatment. He and I spoke of it quickly and I had my injections right then.

It is very pricey at approximately $900 and then $150 for the Dr's fee. I live in Canada though so pricing in the US is, I'm sure, different. I'm lucky though as my benefit plan through work covers all but the Dr's fee.

How long it will last varies per person but it should last anywhere between 4 and 8 months.

Even if it was not covered by my health care benefits, I would still get it as it is well worth it.

Thanks for the info.

I wish the US had a good health care system like Canada.

Yes, we do have a (fairly) good health care system but this was not covered by goverment health care, it was covered within my benefit plan through my employer.

I haven't found one yet. I don't sweat that much so I don't really need anything strong. My problem is I can't find anything that doesn't leave stains and still protects "just in case".

I used Secret Platinum but that didn't work so well and it drove me nuts with the white streaks on my black shirts.

For every day I use Crystal Stick Natural Body Deodorant and it's the best deodorant I've ever used! :yahoo: No streaks, stains, or aluminum. All you have to do is wet it down and apply. I got mine at Whole Foods.

On days when I'm exercising I use Secret.

Wow! Nothing seems to work for me, I'm desperate to get the Botox thing  Let me ask you something, Did the bad smell go away or is this good for people with excessive sweating but no bad odors?

Sweat itself has no odor as is it simply saline. Odor comes from bacteria on the skin. I never had a bad odor, just horrible wetness, so I'm not sure how well it would work on odor.

OMG Mitchum deodorant is amazing! I love the waterbased texture but on a solid deodorant, it goes on like a super thin water-based feeling gel and dries completely smooth!

I got the rose petal scent and its divine!
