What bags do you carry for travelling?

Prada Tessuto Shopping Bag (black) is my fav travel bag, I usually pair it with my red Jansport backpack (), but on its own it can carry a DSLR camera, all my travel papers, wallet and have enough space for a small makeup bag. I take out the camera and it can fit (though very snugly) a 15" laptop

I have a lot of bags designated for traveling. Depending on which destination, weather and what activity I will b doing.

Country where I totally don't feel secure: Kipling, LeSportSac, Longchamp, Tumi, Fossil.

Moderately unsafe: Kate Spade, MbMJ, Agnes B, Calvin Klein, DKNY.

Safe but rainy seasons: Prada, LV Bagpack, Saumur, Speedy, all in Coated Canvas.

Safe n good weather: Anything not too big/bulky that I can slip underneath airplane seat. Nothing with open top! Usually I carry bags with crossbody n not too expensive bags for this reason! So Bal Velo, Mulberry Alexa, PSI, Paul Smith satchel.

I bring along small bags for evening use. It can be more expensive bags like my chanels or other smaller bags. Chanel WoC Caviar is so far my fav for travelling small bag.

When traveling abroad I've always used a crossbody , kidney shaped , nylon bag. But with the criminal element becoming more sophisticated I'll be switching to a crossbody pac safe bag. Always carry a Le Pilage bag in it for souvenirs.

I typically go on long-haul flights and I usually bring my MZ Wallace Kate as a carry-on to store my valuables and my passport and such. My suitcase carries my MZ Wallace Janie that I use when I'm out and about exploring. Love that it can be worn crossbody and I won't have to worry about it if I'm caught in the rain! :)

Lately I've been carrying a turquoise-y green Gabz nubuk tote and hiding in it, there's my black DKNY studded mini crossbody.
For "luggage", as in, for my clothes etc. it's been either a JanBoots backpack or Large Longchamp Le Pliage. The backpack trend is still strong, my shoulders prefer it especially if I'm carrying something heavy or for a long time.
Can't wait for Christmas, I've been SO good (at least I think the elves think that :lawl: ) and Mom is getting me a Ju-Ju-Be Be Right Backpack in the Duchess print. Won't have to think much about what to carry my things in for the next couple of years...

I travel a lot, and I have a few non-designer bags I favor. Here are my requirements:

1) Must zip all the way. I don't want anything falling out of it on a luggage cart or something without my noticing
2) Must have a shoulder strap
3) Must be roomy--I favor a bigger bag when I travel so I can carry a bottle of water, buy souvenirs without carrying around an extra shipping bag, etc. Plus, you never know what you'll need room for--I once got train tickets in a ridiculously giant envelope that I had a choice of trying to rummage through on the train platform in the middle of a crowd to figure what I needed and what I could throw away, or just stick the whole thing in my bag. Luckily, my bag was big enough to fit it.
4) Must do well in all kinds of weather
5) Neutral color palette so it matches everything I would pack
6) People will have different opinions on this, but for me, I like to carry something I don't love so I don't have to baby it or worry about it all. I once took a plane that had just come from a cold, snowy area, and there was still slush under the seat in front of me. I was annoyed that I put my feet there, but I would have been so upset if I'd put a hand bag there!! I don't want to worry about where I put my bag while traveling, and I definitely don't want to worry about it while I'm actually on my trip.
7) Extra points if it can do double duty as an evening bag or can be converted to a different style, e.g. cross-body to top handle.

I never carry expensive bags when we travel, especially if we have to fly. Not only would I feel like every crook within 10 kilometers would focus on the bag as something worth stealing, but most of my better bags, mainly Coach, are too bulky or heavy to be dragging around all day. I don't even wear my gold jewelry when traveling, just my silver or none at all, especially if I'm traveling outside the US. If we're driving instead of flying when packing light isn't an issue I might bring one of my small classic or vintage Coaches for evening.

If we're just traveling locally I'll use a nylon Coach or Kipling Baby Bag during the day and for sightseeing - plenty of room for an umbrella and a windbreaker or anorak, lots of pockets, big side pockets for my water bottle, and best of all, a waterproof changing pad that has kept my bottom dry and comfortable when the only place to sit and enjoy a great view might be a damp moss-covered rock or tree trunk or a patch of wet grass.

My favorites for travel are Kipling bags, from larger styles like the Defea to smaller ones like the Alvar and Fairfax. I only wear crossbody bags anyway and these are also lightweight and very easy to pack and take up no room at all in a suitcase or large duffle. They also have plenty of inside and outside pockets and make it easy to keep things organized, and they're washable and waterproof. And I might also throw in a LeSportsac Deluxe Everyday Bag in a bright print that goes with the colors of the clothes I'm bringing.

I usually bring two bags when I travel (on top of my carry on suitcase): one large tote and one small crossbody. The tote is my personal item on the plane which I keep all my necessities in, and I store it under the seat in front of me, while the small crossbody bag is packed in my carry on suitcase and used as my main bag on the trip. I'm very fussy about them both being zip top, so I don't have to worry about things falling out or sneaky hands getting into them while I'm being unobservant (bound to happen when traveling!).

The tote I usually use is a Longchamp Le Pliage, because it's lightweight, durable and I'm not scared of it getting dirty. I just bought an RM mini mac which I think will be perfect for traveling, it fits more than it looks like and can be carried in so many different ways, and I made sure to get a neutral color so it goes with all my outfits too.

I often use a Burberry nylon tote as a carry-on and for rainy and carry-a-ton days, and then pack one or two premier crossbody bags to use on good weather days when I don't have to carry a lot.

For fall/winter, I usually pack a Proenza Schouler PS13 crossbody bag in black or a Tom Ford Alix shoulder bag in wine. Spring/summer options include a Celine trio in light yellow, a Maison Martin Margiela bag in blue and white snake print, and a Mark Cross mini Madison in burnt orange. My Gucci 1973 black chain crossbody is a great day-to-night option.

Having one or two bags I love with me makes me enjoy my trip a little more :).

Those are some great bags for travel! I don't have any small premier bags, but if I did I think I'd still only bring one small crossbody. I only ever travel with hand luggage, so I need to pack lightly!
