I would totally disagree that the Saint Laurent sac de jour is a copy of a birkin, completely different bags IMO.
- the shape is different
- the way the bag opens is different
- the base of the handles are different
- one has hardware on the front the other doesn't
- the Saint Laurent has accordion sides (sure the birkin uses gussets too but they are visually very different)
- Saint Laurent comes with a strap
- even the shape of the feet at the bottom are different
I just don't see it?


Also the givenchy nightengale came out in 2006, phoebe didn't even join Celine until 2008, and took until 2009 to debut her collection.

I agree with you, the sac de jour looks nothing like the Birkin in my opinion.

Amanda Mull blogged about the Sac du Jour here when it first came out and the general impression was that it was a Birkin copy. Of course now that time has passed and it aquired its own cult following, people think it doesn't resemble the Birkin.

Any and all bags by Michael Kors. I don't think he has had an original design idea for a bag in forever.

Mansur Gavriel bags. Who knew that there was a market for the "perfect" overpriced bucket bag. I've seen them, I've carried one and it was just a leather bag with a drawstring that costs $600.

Coach logo bags. I can't even tell which ones are real and which are fake.

Every micro bag! What are you going to carry in it? One key?!! Every bag with wings, please fly away, far, far away! Goyard bags, every one of them! Why?! They're very unpleasant to look at. Chanel bags should only be sold to women over 75.

Amazingly, I don't see the one accessory a lot I dislike - the fanny pack. In fact, I just want on vacation in October to Venice Italy and a cruise. I don't recall seeing a fanny pack. Make fanny packs go away.

Fanny packs are very popular in my area......with joggers.
I must confess to owning a LeSportSac belt bag. I take it to Disneyworld.
What I would like to see disappear are DIRTY bags. From any designer.
Does some of the ladies never take a real look at the gross germy sack they are carrying around?
