I won’t be surprised, the new bumbag with bag charm LV only selling for $2,500 and available. And FP got plenty to choose from from sellers offload the old model(s)
I'm keeping everything for now. I don't expect to make a fortune but some of these quotes, geez! The thing that gets me isn't the quote so much, it's the exorbitant prices they are charging......they want almost as much as purchasing new (See Neverfull) BUT... I have noticed stuff has been sitting and dropping in price.
I think they are all pretty bad. But then they will sell it for $3400
I am releasing two back into the wild. I've had a Denim Damier Monogram NF for a few years... and I've had an ecru/caramel OnTheGo since last month (and was so very excited! I posted all over this forum!). The NF is in excellent condition, the OnTheGo is pristine (wish I hadn't cut the tags! 24s won't let you return).
I got quotes from Rebag, TheRealReal, and Fashionphile. Rebag's was insulting. Fashionphile was low. So, I'm going with TheRealReal. I've been pleased with the stuff I've gotten from them... i'll never get a popular bag there because I know they've had issues, but I bought my Damier Karakoram NF from them 2 1/2 years ago, and my local LV authenticated it and complimented the bag.
I'll purchase insurance for the package just in case there are any issues. Planning to ship tomorrow.
Rationales: Since WFH ended, I never, ever wear the denim, and I wouldn't take it on trips. I just bought two Strathberry Midi totes in vanilla/chestnut and navy/sea blue. The leather on that bag is absolutely yummy... Tanner Leatherstein's YouTube channel convinced me! When I placed the Strathberry next to the Since 1854 OnTheGo, I knew what I had to do.
I'll need the room in my closet for my Damier Karakoram NF once it's repaired and the cognac NF, which will be my first empreinte leather bag from LV. Next year, I'd like to get a canvas OTG & a Speedy... so it's time.

Yep. I wonder if it’s still such hot demand. I sold mine , thought I would regret it but I don’t. I never used it…
I have the Karakoram NF and speedy! rarely use it but won’t sell it. I loved that it was some extra than just DE…
I've never been into the bumbag. I think it was "in" for a minute when several influencers on IG were all sporting it. But once LV comes out with a new model, the old model depreciates.. like a used car lol. Not many people are going to be searching for the "old model" of something when there's a newer version out. I'm not surprised offers are low for the old model Bumbag, it's not in demand right now and likely never will be again.
I bought it way over retail and hated it. Tried to make myself like it and couldn't. Sold it and never looked back.
The prices on FP for them are astronomical. The new one reminds me of Donatella Versace, or that Muppet with the long blond hair. If I had to have one, it would be the original even though it is such a pain to access.
Follow those bags for awhile and I'll bet you see them drop in price repeatedly. FP always starts bags over the top high because someone might purchase it at that price. I followed a YSL bag that had a black stain on the very front of it for months. I was shocked they accepted it and were trying to resell it at nearly retail! I think they dropped the price 4-5x before it sold or was taken off the website.
I hear ya. I bought it when it came out mostly because of the hype. I dont think I even wore it but tried it on and like you , hated it. I felt like it looked weird on me and couldnt imagine carrying with the handle.
I’m too impatient that’s usually my problem. I’m slowly learning. I’m also learning what really works for me and if it’s a good old Neverfull or a Speedy so be it!
I’ve tried to this as well. I try not to get into the hype of a bag and make sure that I know I like it and it will work for me. I used to dislike the NF now I love them.
