I've also been very anti-Balenciaga but I must say I'm tempted by the denim with the dark brown trim. It looks like a fun casual bag. I saw them at Barneys this week but they didn't have a size I liked. My FREE STUFF card from Barneys (the bonus you get for spending mucho dinero -- actually, its my husband who does that!) should be coming through soon. Maybe I'll buy one.....

It's somewhat large, but if you're comfortable wearing it, go for it !

It looks like it'd be a really cute bag for like the name says, weekends when you just need to pack a few changes of clothes. :)

Hi All. I just bought the Balenciaga Weekender today. It is HUGE. I always love huge bags. I'm small (5'2). Anyone else have this bag and think it's too big for everyday use? I'm afraid I look ridiculous. Thanx Ladies!!!

hahahah! oh thank god, your an inspiration. i'm 4 feet 11 and i want the huge gucci that's like 18 by 6 by 14. something like that.

i'm thinking i'm going to look ridiculous with that bag... take a photo and post it, i want to see...

Aaaah ... here's my area! I have three Voyage/Weekender bags -

1. Black
2. White
3. Turquoise (although I really think it's the Seafoam color)

Since I travel a lot for work (overseas), they are great for me because I not only put my regular stuff in, but also some work papers, etc. The worse part is that the DO NOT have a strap (if you see one with a strap - IT'S A FAKE!!!!!!!!!).

I also have two of the Office Bags and then three of the City Classique bags.

I think the more petite gals can get away with a big bag, but I agree with some of the folks on the forum ... a tall gal like myself (5'10") CANNOT carry a small bag - it looks ridiculous!

i'm thinking to get a work bag in "canvas".
does anyone have experience taking care of it?
since it's made in cotton (leather trim), i presume it gets dirty/stain easily? i don't want to be anal when carrying it! thanks all!

I have the Canvas in the Lime Green/Black Leather. Yeah, unfortunately, it does show up the dirt ... just like the Balenciaga bags that are lighter in color (although, strangely enough, I have a friend who's white bag was less dirty than my Turquoise/Seafoam!).

With the Leather, you can 'wash' it a little bit (just a little bit of soap and water, and sometimes you can get the stain/dirt out). Can't do that with the Canvas. :sad2:

Hello I currently use the Balenciaga city styles as my everyday type of bag but I saw a picture of JLO with a light blue weekender, what do you guys think is it too big for an everyday bag? Thanks:p

It is a large bag. But who's to say if a bag is too big or too small. It comes down to personal preference and if you're comfortable with it, then go for it:D ! I've seen some gals in malls carrying huge bags but never gave a second thought about it as they're not walking around all self-conscious like. More often than not, I zone in on awful disgusting, gaudy bags, rather than the sizing of a bag.

I think it's way too big for an everyday bag. I mean how much stuff do you need to lug around with you?? If you do have that much stuff, then it may work, but I think the city is the perfect size and if I wanted something larger, I would go with the day. The weekend is just that... for the weekend.

Again... this is just for me...

I think the office is a good size, really big and roomy but not too big that it feels like it overpowers you.

I agree...mine is an Office and the size is perfect for all my junk. the weekender seemed HUGE to me...like carrying a small piece of luggage!
