Wedding ring dilemma

I hate hearts, so that is definitely out. I don't like anything remotely kitschy like that unfortunately and it seems like a lot of the non traditional stuff is.

I like the Cartier Rolling Ring but only the one with diamonds and it looks like it is more than I want to spend. The max I am willing to shell out is 2k.

I don't have any stores near me, I am going to have to order whatever I get so there is no trying on first.

Ooh I LOVE the idea of the rolling ring -- I've never seen the one with diamonds but I do like the non-diamond one. I think the tri-color makes it look interesting and special but it's still plain enough to be an everyday band.

I would personally go for an 18k diamond eternity band. It looks very plain but still special and pretty. The metro band is very thin but since Tiffany diamonds tend to be very sparkly I don't think it's too thin. But honestly, if you're going for a plain style like an eternity band, I would check out BlueNile or even a local jeweler's for a much better deal.

I don't normally like hearts either, but those two had a little "edge".

I'm not sure you should rush into a decision and order online. I was DYING for a thin, thin eternity band like the Metro, but when I saw it on in real life... it just didn't suit my finger.

I love Tiffany, but IMO there is nothing "non-traditional" about a classic, thin eternity band. If you are looking for something less common maybe Karen Karch would suit your style?

I also love Cathy Waterman, but most of her things are over $2K...

Good luck and have fun shopping!

Maybe since you cant try the styles on, buy from a reputable online vendor and then order two sizes/styles you like. They you can try them on and return the ones that don't work out. Eternity bands are hard to size so I wouldn't get a full one, however, if it's absolutely what you love then order in two sizes so you can return the one that doesn't fit.

I'm currently loving this band: http://www.bluenile.com/product_19826 yellow Sapphires in yellow gold looks so yum!

But for a wedding band maybe something from bev k, there are a few within budget and the designs seem very unique enough to stand alone.

Thanks all! I will take a look at all these.

Since I am in a time crunch and don't have any good jewelers near me, I am going to have to get something online and something that can be ordered in my size or sized within 1 week.

I know I am cutting it close but unfortunately I'm a grad student and literally had no time to think about a ring until this weekend.

I agree with whoever said the metro eternity band is not non-traditional, but that is my backup plan and "safe" and plain to get if I can't come up with something that is a little more "me".

All of the stuff you all suggested was beautiful, but it is just to ornate for me. That's why I put up the 4 styles in the beginning, I like very plain and simple but with just a slight twist (for example, making the center stone of a solitaire engagement ring a colored stone). I am in a very conservative field and so I can't wear anything that looks really out there, but at the same time I want to be true to my personality which is not really suited for a traditional diamond solitaire engagement ring or plain band.
