I was wondering when can we start wearing white again after Labor Day? I love every color for any season, but I don't want poeple look at me differently if I wear my white purse in the middle of Winter.
Any advice or opinion?
That's the last thing I would be worried about, someone looking at me because I'm wearing white, especially if it's a winter white.
If you know you can work it, then work it!

If I know I'm looking fabulous, then you can't tell me nothin'!
(Now, if it's a person who doesn't have a strong sense of style, that's another story!:nogood::nogood::nogood:)

I don't wear white because it doesn't compliment my skin tone however the colors that look good on me, I wear them year round.

funny how this thread is still getting so many responses given it was opened in 2007... :D

But to give a reaction to the original question, I guess as long as you don't run into 'Serial Mom' you will be just fine with wearing white after labor day

Here's my bags and shoes that I will be wearing to a Labor Day outdoor party tomorrow: Michael Kors Hobo and "chunky/funky" white sandals. I'm from the south and there's this "unspoken tradition" about not wearing white after Labor Day! Do you all honor that? And I wonder where that tradition started?

Yes, love winter whites like you described! Having said this, i totally forgot about this rule ☺️
It's still sunny and warm so yesterday I wore white linen Theory blazer, white Exquisite Gizeh Birkenstock and carried a large white leather hobo 😁
