Thanks, Nat! :smooch: This is awesome info and timely like everyone else said. I'm going to buy myself some Meltonian too (thanks for the link)! :broom:

ETA: Got some! Thanks again :flowers:

I wore my new PP Jennys to work today and, guess what???? It started to rain. When I get home, I'll post pics of them so you can see how they look after 2 sprayings of the Meltonian and a day of rain on them.

I will also post complete before during and after pics of my RB Jennys as soon as they arrive so you can see it on a dark color. I've done all my suedes but the next suede ones I get, I'll post those too.

Nat - Thanks so much for sharing this info! I have been afraid to wear my grey nabuck python biancas because I didn't know how to treat them. Ordering now! :wlae:

Thank goodness for the Meltonian! :D I once got my python simples wet in pouring rain (I had to, didn't bring any backup shoes). Thank goodness they were OK --- I will never have to do that again!

I can't believe the difference in the dye lots of the powder pink! They both look gorgeous though so I wouldn't mind having one of each color.

Thanks Nat! Do you think this spray will be ok on top of Apple Garde Leather Cleaner? I have a pair of NS Roccia Python that I've treated with AG Leather Care Conditioner to keep the scales soft and flat. Will Metonian be safe sprayed on top of that?

also, I know you primarily use this on your exotics but how about suede's? I'm thinking I can start using the Meltonian spray instead of my Apple Garde Rain & Stain.

I may have to give this Meltonian Waterproof/Stainproof, although I'm not to sure I would use it on ardoise nabuck python AD. I'm still traumatized from my bad experience with my ardoise nabuck python Bianca.

Thank you for sharing this information Nat! I have left my white python Fruiti Fruitis untreated because I wasn't sure what to use on them. I also have a pair of RB watersnake coming my way that I will have to treat. I have extra cans of Apple Gard that I use on my suede and swear by, but I don't trust them on the nabuck.

Hi Celtic,
If you read my original post, you'll see that I use it on suede, my lambskin Chanel bags, my nappa shoes, dare I even say my satins (don't do it. Just saying that I do)

As far as using it on top of Apple Garde, I don't know. I don't like the product. I've had a bad experience with it and won't go near it.

I use all Meltonian products with the exception of Lincoln E-Z Clean to clean spots off. It's very mild. For conditioning, I use Meltonian boot and shoe cream polish in #1. It will even take finger nail scratches out of your lambskin bags. That was a gift imparted on me by my Bvlgari rep. They use it on their bags. That's for nappa and leather shoes.

For Exotics, the Meltonian waterproof/stain proof I have found actually works quite well as a conditioner. The more you put on exotics, the flatter the scales get. So, I stick to the less is more philosopy.
