I must say that I am pleased with my results, so much so that I did 2 other purses... I can't bring myself to do my speedy because I love the aged look on her... Oh and FYI l put all my bags in the dryer afterwards, so far so good. Good luck to all u ladies giving it a try!!!

The bag came out ok, but the leather feels a bit tough/harder now and the interior still smells musty. Wondering if I should put it in again and then condition the heck out of the leather? Don't think I'll try it with the Totally...too scared!

I just put it in the washer again, this time without the protective pillow case, and with a full cup of Tide, poured directly into the bag! It's now in the dryer on low heat. I'll condition the leather afterwards....all in!

Thanks for the warning! I won't try it yet. This is a 20 year old speedy that I just use as a knock around bag so I haven't bothered to find a key!
LV has a master key if you just wanted to take it off. Or you can order a replacement key. The lock has numbers engraved on it. You might even be able to just order keys over the phone without having to go in.
