Was happy with my holiday decision until I received some opinions on it..

I love it! I think they look amazing together and I def. see it as sparkly. It's a really cool edgy look. At $1,500 it's affordable luxury so I say it's worth it. Some people spend it on a bag, a watch, so this is a pendant chain, it's all relative. It's only too expensive if it's beyond what you can pay or if it's just a plain ridiculous mark up. Of course T&co marks up for their brand but it's not like that's a surprise, it's par for the course.

 I agree! many of my friends will think i'm crazy for spending 1500 on one item but they'll buy loads of throwaway clothes instead for this price!!

I like the Rubedo arrow best. I wear a gold arrow pendant myself (a Jennifer Meyer one). It was also available with diamonds but I think a detailed shape like an arrow is nicer in precious metal alone.

Jewellery is so personal. It should give your heart a flutter when you put it on. Of course you pay a high price for the Tiffany brand, but it's worth it if the piece speaks to you. It's like love IMO - when you know, you know. If you are having doubts I would return the pavé piece and keep your $1,500 for something you feel sure about.

And lastly, do not worry about what others think. There's a lot of shiny costume jewellery out there, much of it very pretty. The casual observer doesn't know what's real platinum, diamonds, silver or cheaper plated stuff. Most fine jewellery is small and subtle and you should wear it for yourself, not because other people will stop in their tracks. Many are not that detail-oriented or simply not attuned to jewellery. Doesn't mean it's not beautiful :)

Sorry for rambling - this is a topic close to my heart!

Jewelry is personal. I do like it, your skin tone is gorgeous and I think all metal colors look amazing with it.
Would you like it more or think it is worth it if it were say $900.00? If so then maybe you are struggling with the price more than the item.
Everything branded is over priced. It is hard to assign value to these things. I love the suggestion of seeing it next to a newer piece .
Are you looking for it to make more of an impact? If you are stuck spending hat credit, how about a ring you can stack? You can get 2 or 3 nice ones for 1500. GL!

I really like the way u are wearing the two and I also think they would look great on their own. If you loved the platinum one before your cousins dampened your enthusiasm then I say you should keep it for sure. If you had second thoughts even before then change it for something else.

I like one arrow necklace alone better. I'd probably layer it with just a DBTY necklace, if anything. I really only buy very classic pieces in platinum. I really like the Rubedo one, though!

It looks great on you and if you really like it then keep it.

But if you are only having the tiniest bit of doubt then think about how you'd feel returning it and getting something else for it.
Question yourself if it is what you really wanted and if it is worth for you what you paid for it- no matter what anyone else thinks it looks like.

I had a similar quandary related to my Self- Santa pressie (no jewelry though).
It took me 2 weeks of thinking and going back to the store twice and today I made the final
decision to return it for good and either get my money back or another item.
I am so relieved I did this, so my advice is to better return it and wait until you made up your mind than wearing it with a nagging feeling. If you need to tell yourself that something is worth what you spent or if you need to look long at it until you like it- then it's not the real deal.
I do not believe in love at second sight when it comes to luxury items.

You said it's plat right? Soak it in a little hot water and dish soap, and give it a spritz with windex after wards and rinse well and dry really well. Maybe a quick blowdry. If after that it's not sparkling, take it back and see if they have another in stock to compare to. Tiny or not, their melee is usually fairly well cut, and should sparkle.

I love when you chime in Ame I was strongly debating on messaging you with detailed pics to see what you thought but didn't want to bother you during the holiday week! I'm going to try this tonight!! Many thanks!!

Trying to figure out how to do this multi quote to thank EVERYONE in this thread for chiming in!! I appreciate all the thoughtful and honest opinions. I like the idea of having one fine jewelry edgy piece, my next necklace will likely be a vca so I like the contrast and variety. I surprisingly like the combo of the two arrows I usually go simpler.

I think yes I would feel better if it were cheaper, but with the credit idk if I can complain about that. I loved the rings but most of the diamond ones were over 1700 and in that case I think I want to save for a simple panthere ring? Not too sure yet.

Thank you for everything you said!

I think it is beautiful, both the pave and rubedo. I have a few dainty tiffany diamond necklaces like the mini bow. it is only 0.11 ctw and sparkles like crazy even though the stones are teeny tiny. it does not look like silver to me, it looks like platinum!

keep it if you love it!

to me it sounds like your cousins are being snotty, and trying to undermine your gifts...jealous maybe?

I'm happy you saw this Candice I was meaning to email you but have been swamped. I'm going to try ame's suggestion to clean it to see. It sparkled nicely in candlelight at dinner last
