I use Roxy wallet which is gift from my BFF and i've been using it for 6 years and it's still intact.
So yes, i personally don't want to spend $$$ on wallet.
I spend $$$ on bags and shoes.

I know this thread is really old, but bump. I remember fondly a leather purse from Australia when I was in my teens and that same leather purse lasted me until my early twenties. Of course I rotate my wallets, but a good quality wallet can become a well loved long lasting companion.

I bought a black deadly ponies lambskin wallet to match my bag.

When I upgraded to a Chloé marcie I also ended up getting the marcie wallet shortly after.

Maybe I am just crazy.

Cheap wallets in expensive bags remind me of people in designer clothes who wear cheap underwear...
Whats wrong with that? Most of us cant splurge on everything.. so have to pick our battles. As long as its comfortable and doesn't have holes in it, I'm fine with basic underwear. Why am I going to spend money on something that isnt even visible?
Also if I'm in an accident and they have to remove my clothes I doubt the ER doctor will really care about the state of my undies :smile1:

Plus, what's considered expensive underwear?
I don't want to pay 50 bucks for something thats just going to give me a wedgie.
My favourite pair of thongs only cost $15, I love them so much i have like 20 of them in different colours.

haha

Everyone's different.

I love luxury goods for the way they make me feel, the quality against my skin rather than the outward appearance (although it is a factor)

For this reason I will continue to buy silk stella mccartney panties with the days of the week embroidered on them :p
Even if nobody but me sees them, its the feeling that counts, not what people can see.

Just my 2 cents

As a wallet is an everyday item handled by you and seen by everyone on a daily basis, it´s advisable to buy the best quality you can afford, also to honour your hard-earned money stored inside. Excellent materials (no plastic, nickel, etc), and top craftsmanship. Otherwise you might regret it!

I have a vintage Hermès hand-me-down from a dear auntie, and it feels, smells and works just great... but after about thirty odd years of constant use, it´s starting to fall apart and the H people are doubtful they can mend it adequately. So it´ll likely go into SLG perpetual storage heaven in my little family heirlooms box, to be replaced by a nice Chloè Paraty in Speculoos or else a LV as soon as I may put an end to my ban.
