I’m not sure why it needs it’s own brush but hey, not complaining.

The leather can 'bloom' when stored.

So, all you will need to do if it does is just gently brush the grooves (in the direction they flow) and finish with a clean microfibre or unbleached cotton dry cloth.

Great pictures of a 40 HAC in Volynka from Xupes (resell value is an eye-watering £39,999):

I cannot wait until H comes up with smaller bags in this leather. Or some calvi/bastia.

I may have said earlier in the thread, I was offered the Bolide but it's the travel size obviously being from the man's universe (as befitting a more 'manly' height and weight). Since I already have a travel size (45) beloved 1923 Web in Swift Chocolate  . I can tell you the comparison between weight, not in figures but in feel. My darling Swift is an OK weight that I can carry loaded all day id need be, no way could I have carried the equivalent size Volynka, even empty, around town.

This V HAC is magical but as an everyday bag  it will be seriously heavy, way heavier than the Bolide, and at that price - they're having a laugh (except they're obviously not joking).

I was tempted by the Ltd Ed Shark Bolide (does anyone remember that one?) which I was also offered, and even more tempted by the Volynka but even our favourite bag models we have to be careful we don't get carried away by the scarcity Ltd Ed thing (no pun intended :giggle: ). There's a Shark on Farfetch now for £45K + but I also saw one go for just over £4K somewhere else a little while ago (same colour). Others are somewhere in-between for a more serious consideration.

If you wait, these things find there own real market value. Same question should apply to all bags collector's item or not.

Never mind the price, make sure you are a heavyweight champion before considering the V bags, esp the HAC. Think would I, could I, actually use it? - Otherwise you need a really big house (or museum). Volynka smells wonderful though - like old tar mixed with ash (which is what it could be for all I know).

I had an epsom 40 HAC and I found it very heavy despite epsom being one of the lightest leathers, so I know what you mean.

I remember. It came in natural and navy Barenia that were super rare, then it was released in Togo which was available everywhere. So many resellers in Tokyo and Osaka have it in stock.

I am patiently waiting for someone to get tired of their Plume Volynka who will resell it for a reasonable price. I'm gonna make it a very posh gym bag.

I was in FSH at the beginning of July and there was another Volynka Mini Kelly II. That one was inside the boutique, behind a glass display. Of course it had that "display only" / "display model" plaque, but behind it there was also a price plaque;)
Was the bag for sale? Was the plaque left over from a previous bag? One of many Hermes mysteries:coolio:

They are a bit careless with their item display plaques. I went to their Sevres store and one of the bag’s description plaque was upside down, and the other one said “Kelly Doll is not for sale” when there’s no Kelly Doll on display.

I have seen Mini K II in Volynka on a reseller site so I think some have been released. Probably still rare for now.
