They aren't good for anything vintage as is IIRC. I bought a few and broke the grommets and DH replaced them for me with the correct size that works for Large Courier buckles.

Hmm. That Courier photo is exactly what I'd be replicating. Thanks so much for sharing. It looks really cute. That strap is on sale for $19.
Other than the scuffs on the piping, the bag is in great shape. I was a bit disappointed about the size (small bag girl) and would have preferred it be Costa Rican leather but it’s ok. I got it for the color. Have a few greens but it’s my first jade. It is still sitting on the shelf waiting for a bath.
It is, heavier than my Manor. But I think it also depends on what leather was used. The leather feels like the two made in Mexico bags I have.
Could someone please do 9965 against collegiate/Watson/basic/dinky/court/metropolis?
The 9965 is very square & chunky. It holds a decent amount & the strap is very comfortable. If you want a more “rounder” bag with similar dimensions & looks, that would be the 9530 shoulder bag with turn-lock (but that one doesn’t have a back pocket & I think it has a shorter strap). I haven’t received my 9530 yet so couldn’t include it in this comp:

For sure! They pop up pretty often for a decent price. It’s not a style Id tell you to splurge on, there’s plenty that get listed if you’re patient

Here is a photo comparing Sonoma small flap, Watson, and current turnlock pouch.
Love the color of that sonoma. I never like them because I prefer smooth leather. But maybe I should get one to try to open color possibilities.
I usually prefer smooth leather but the Sonoma pebbled leather is squishy, not stiff, which I like. Also, they are lined, making the pockets a little easier to use. There are some fantastic colors in smooth leather vintage. They are just harder to find.
