Don't be mad but I might steal your entire Halloween setup here.I have an orange bag for Halloween. I think it is kind of perfect because it is pumpkin shaped! My red Sonoma drawstring is a perfect red bag too. If you just want a red hang tag, you could go into a Coach store and get one that you can get stamped with anything you want. I think it costs around 8 dollars.
Most of mine are contemporary, but that vintage leather is heavenly! If you're feeling like you have to force yourself to wear bags, it sounds like you might not love them. For me, realizing that, was a huge help. This should be fun! I just started enjoying bags a couple years ago and ended up with many I thought were pretty, but as I learned more about what I love about a bag, I realized they weren't right for me. Last year (thanks to great advice here) I got rid of all of those, and it was actually wonderful! Now I know that if I don't reach for a bag, it needs to go. I've found it more fun to have a selection I can't wait to use rather than having less loved ones taking up space and getting in the way. I really took my time with it, and once I realized which bags weren't exciting to wear, it made it easy to let them go.So for those who feel like they have too many, do you make yourself carry them even if for just a single day? Vintage collectors, do you ever go back to a new bag, or do you only carry a vintage bags on occasion? I've gotten all these vintage bags and I feel like I have to use them and now I shouldn't use or buy any new purses. Plus I need some embellishments like cute fobs so I'm holding out for some deliveries before I swap purses to one of my new to me vintage bags.
Thats why Im doing Handbag Of the Week thread...Ive started to see bags that I like but dont love. Had a cull yesterday and got rid of 7 thrifted ones that I got as projects. Very low cost and were freebies for the work mates then onto the oppshops again. Most of mine are contemporary, but that vintage leather is heavenly! I've been eyeing the lunch box too. Not in those colors even though they're both pretty. I think a red would be darling.I just finished rehabbing a mahogany lunch box bag that I bought fairly cheap, just to try it out. I am completely surprised to find out that I really like this bag and it's just big enough that I could use it quite regularly. It's such a unique bag. I want to find an affordable one in periwinkle or aqua now.
Oh yes, red would be nice!I've been eyeing the lunch box too. Not in those colors even though they're both pretty. I think a red would be darling.

Good luck! It's an unicorn! I haven't found one in red yet and I don't want to spend over $50! I ended up buying the newer retro lunch pail for $30 more instead from the outlet sale but the hardware isn't brass though.Oh yes, red would be nice!
Those colors are so rich, and that is especially a great red!I have an orange bag for Halloween. I think it is kind of perfect because it is pumpkin shaped! I switch more often than that just for fun, but I like your handbag of the week project. Congrats on moving out the less loved ones! Your workmates must have been very happy!Thats why Im doing Handbag Of the Week thread...Ive started to see bags that I like but dont love. Figures. Seems like very style I start to like suddenly jumps in price and rarity. So will you still look for a vintage one?Good luck! It's an unicorn! No I won't. I gave up and that's why I have the few one. It makes no sense to have two of the exact same bag in exact same color. I might try to find a green one later. I already have the vintage one in white and periwinkle. I certainly don't need another bag.Figures. Seems like very style I start to like suddenly jumps in price and rarity.
