Coach court bag question. Mine is made in 1996. The strap is not adjustable. When did they start coming out with adjustable strap?

The first catalog showing a photo of the adjustment buckle is late 1998 but it may have been introduced earlier in that year or even in 1997 since there are a few Courts with 1997 serial numbers and buckle adjustments in my files..

Can anyone tell me what color my Winnie is? I thought it was mahogany, but it looks more mocha.

The creed No. is C7C-9023. Thanks in advance.

In that time frame, I don’t recall Mocha being offered. In fact I don’t recall seeing Mocha as a color offering for the original weight leather after the late 80’s, when bags were starting to be made routinely outside of NYC.

Found one of my holy grails - a slim zip up tote that fits my laptop and not much more. I’ve never seen one of those before - looks like a slim satchel (plus the middle seam), but with long handles. The dimensions are about 14 x 9. Anyone knows what is it? A catalogue pic would be great. TIA.

It might be this (1976 ad, style #9510, name uncertain but possibly Shopping Bag, no measurements given):

My husband neglected to get me a present for my birthday, so I bought Sea foam Regina a friend to play with, Green Regina! (hard to see color in 1st photo) . In beautiful condition, authenticated and from a seller right here in Michigan. All I have to do is glue the hang tag back together. Can you tell I like top handle bags? IMG_1774.JPG

I also took photos next to my Manor bag (#9977) if anyone is looking for a size comparison.IMG_1770.JPG
And then everyone with Willis, which I had from a long time ago. IMG_1780.JPG IMG_1782.JPG fullsizeoutput_ff9b.jpeg

Thank you!! I am ashamed to admit to any but people on this site that I have more, but these are the top handle “sub family”. I can’t bring them all out at once because the hubs might see... I started reading this thread after I bought the green Regina and one thing led to another, and suddenly I have a Court bag heading my way! This site has a way making me want MORE!!!
Still on the wish list: red Regina or Court. Someone on here has a blue Regina that I am coveting.
I’ve never tried the Janice or Patricia or Ranch or Stewardess styles. I have my eye on a Taft bag though, after seeing hers on the blissfully obsessed blog a few months ago. So pretty!

This forum makes me crazy. I've been on a bag ban due to some recent large purchases I made and I logged in here a short while ago just to get my fix and keep up with the chat and now I have a Willis on the way. Another Willis. My 6th Willis! A 1998 Costa Rican black with nickel hardware Willis. What the heck is wrong with me? I have bags stashed all over my house, too. The other day my dad came over to take a look at my bathroom which we're going to re-tile and he opened up the door to a new vanity that I bought but haven't installed yet and a pile of vintage bags fell out. They are my rehab projects that I had to set aside when work got crazy. He just looked at me. Didn't say anything, just gave me the hairy eyeball. I didn't feel guilty though, I put my bags away and just kept talking about the tile I want for my bathroom. I pay my own bills, I bought my own house, I won't be ashamed of my handbags. I pay for them myself! I'm lucky I'm not married though, that might be another story....:P

Hairy Eyeball!!! LOL!! I know that look. I told my husband that I rehab and sell them, and he gets all excited that I am monetizing my obsession! I do sell them (some of them!) :amuse:

And there is no one on this forum that would lift an eyebrow over buying a black Willis with nickel hardware made in CR. How could you walk away???
