Someone here please buy this bag so I don't. I don't know what it is but I dig it. Please buy me!
I have one of those but that one is missing the crossbody strap.

@Belicious Here's an example, though I wouldn't pay $300 for this bag. It's poorly listed in the men's section, but it's a Musette.

Since we're sharing search tips, I use google images. Right click on a good image of the bag I'm searching for, "search image with google lens." It pulls up similar images and that's how I found my blue courier and a logan bag for $100. Not every style similar is Coach, but sometimes I find a huge bargain and bags misidentified by the seller who doesn't know what they have. My favorite find using this method: a Lindsey bag. (Love them, I have several.) Seller was calling it a "Tawanny" bag. (the brand on the magnetic snap). I think I got it for $20.
Those are both great tips! I did have 2 black Caarier bags at one stage but I think I paid around $120 shipped for each. I sold them as they were too big for me at the time. Wish I hadn't!

I have about 40-something vintage Coach bags. The prices these days have given me serious hesitation with selling as well as buying. Thoughts like, will I ever find this bag in this condition again at the price I paid back then? And it’s always been difficult for me to spend over a certain dollar amount for vintage Coach anyway, especially if it’s a bag I’ve never seen in person! What if I end up not liking the style and can’t resell it for what I got it for? Things like that. I enjoyed the hunt but also the freedom to try many different styles (and of course, the rehabbing and making the bag look pretty again). It’s just not the same as it used to be for me! Currently just wearing what I have and rotating as much as I can.

Totally agree about the prices being too much these days. It's a good deterrent really!

I, too, have had a rehab pile that looks like this. Then, as I realized I was drowning in these bags, I made a big change in how I buy. I can find bags in my area at church sales, white elephants, garage sales--but I don't buy like I used to. Here's what I ask myself: What will I do with this if I can't get a buyer for it? Will I carry it? For so many bags, the answer to the last question is "no". If that's the case, I don't buy. I see a lot of MFF bags, fabric bags, small bags and I just keep on walking. The last small bag I got that I wouldn't wear had 3 views over 4 months listed for sale on ebay. I finally took it in to Coach and got a credit for the exact amount that I hoped to net if it sold. And I didn't have to pack it, ship it or worry about a buyer wanting a return for no real reason at all. I still have that credit, and I'm sure I'll use it eventually, but it taught me that I don't want to buy or rehab bags that I don't want hanging around for months or more. Also, it's so much more fun rehabbing something for myself. Call me cynical, but it's taken years for me to reach this point and I'm not going back.
The credit is only good for a very short time. I turned in a bag for credit; later when I went to use it, it wasn't there. I think it only lasts 30 days.

It’s addictive! The hunt, winning the bid and making them look lovely. I’m glad I’ve kept a spreadsheet from the go (ocd). I’ve been lucky with what I’ve had in my collection. But I feel excited to let them go to people who will use them and not just admire them like I do
I keep a spreadsheet too. I know exactly what I paid for each bag, which sometimes makes it hard to sell them even if I'm not using them, knowing I won't recoup my money. When I first starting collecting vintage, I went way overboard, buying lots of different styles. Now I have less than 20 vintage bags, and about 70 bags total. I've slowed way down on buying. I could probably get rid of at least 25% of my bags and not really miss them. The bags I don't carry much, other than the Bonnie Cashins that I treasure, wouldn't sell for much so I just hang on to them.

I tried to use my credit a few weeks after I received it. I couldn't find it online, so I called the SA at my store who took the trade in and asked. He recommended that I call him when I want to make a purchase and he would apply it. He could see it on his computer, but I couldn't see it at all. On this page on the Coach site: https://www.coach.com/support/coach-reloved if you scroll down to the section titled: "What credit can I receive? How can I use it?" you can see that the credits are supposed to be good for a year. If you tried to use it online and it wasn't there, maybe you can call a store and ask them to check online.

It's good for a year? Wow, I just gave up when I couldn't find mine.

I got the first one on Etsy for super cheap from someone who was a rehabber but just didn't have the time to work on it. (The one on the top left.) It was extremely dry. It almost felt like sandpaper, but it rehabbed amazingly well. I think the rest were all eBay finds. I don't think I paid much more than $125 for any of them. They were all from people who didn't know what they had.

A lot of time they get listed under men's briefcases instead of the women's handbag section on eBay, so if you are searching for one, make sure you look under men's briefcases. My eBay searches tend to always default to the women's handbag section, so you have to change it to men's briefcases. I think I got two of them and my Carrier that way.
Yay! This tip was a winner! I have been checking new listings in men's briefcases each day and one popped up today for $120. Seller didn't provide measurements so Idk if it's a Carrier or a Musette... I think Carrier but hard to tell and I don't really care. Well actually Carrier would be best for me. I have been having to carry more and more books and stuff for work and they just don't fit in what I've been using (a 9995 shopper) without a struggle. I'm so psyched! And it's brown which is a nice change from the 2 I had in black years ago.

Carrier Briefs always have an open outside pocket on the back and a zippered inside pocket. Musettes have NO outside back pocket, and the inside pocket is open, NOT zipped. Much more dependable than measurements. :girlsigh:
