I totally understand why the requirements have been put in place. I just wish most of us here didn’t have to wait years to use it .

ETA: Can I have a quick summarized version of who “Loukpeach” is? I’ve never heard of her! TY! :flowers:

ETA: Nevermind, I took screenshots of these article pictures that were posted by @BeenBurned in another thread. If anyone else was curious like me, here they are:

HOLY S**T! Horrible!!!!

I love the Elmo charm as well.

ARG! I need this bag too.

If you love small bags you will love this one!

Lego has discontinued the Elmo keychain, but if you look on bricklink.com, or eBay, you might be able to find a NWT one for not a lot more than the sticker price of 6.99 (cad). Just cut off the keychain part and then you can slip the little guy onto the ball chain!

I thought she was supposed to be deported at the end of her sentence.

That might be what the appeal in 2020 was about. And she still has that $400,000 restitution she's responsible for.

Did you do a tPF search for "Loukpeach"? Several of the threads may have been removed but a few are still out there.

And THAT is just one of the very good reasons why tPF doesn't allow any public buying and selling between members, or posts offering to buy, sell or trade. She'd already scammed some members directly or indirectly on other sites. If she'd been allowed to actually sell on site here it could have been a lot worse. Remember, AFAIK it was mostly the retail stores who were named in the case and eligible for compensation (which they'll probably never see anyway). The individuals who bought her fakes from her selling sites or from the retailers she ripped off probably got nothing.

Yep! Read through one from 2019 & another from 2016 where a buyer was warning others that she got a fake Fendi from her. Loukpeach was in that thread commenting as well. It’s absolutely bonkers to think how elaborate & big her con got before she was arrested.

Do you happen to know if the stores she scammed tracked down the fakes they might’ve re-sold to other customers? Or were those customers essentially SOL?

I was out antique shopping today, and I saw a woman with a beautiful bottle green vintage station bag. It was beautiful. Station bags aren't even a style that I like that much, but it was just so lovely in that color. I stopped her and told her that I loved her station bag.

I am currently rehabbing a Station Bag that I thought was navy, but now I am not sure if it is navy or dark green. I will have to wait until the rehab is complete to get a better idea about the color, but it occurred to me that it might be bottle green. Do you know when Coach produced the bottle green station bag? I think that my bag is from the late 1980s. Thanks!

Essentially SOL from what I've read. The Feds were going after the perp, not trying to help the victims, especially the small ones.

The store she bought from most was TJ Maxx. She was their biggest customer. She would buy authentic bags and return fakes. I think she also got a lot of bags from Neiman Marcus.

It is probably fairly easy to return a fake to a department store as the people handling the return have no idea what the bag is supposed to look like.

I believe the stores were pretty good about taking back bags from customers after this story came out.

There was a darker color called forest green that came before bottle green. I know they made it in 1990. They may have made it earlier. I remember having a few bags in it with US creeds and random numbers. Bottle green was a 1995 color. It might have been made a few years before and after that as well. Bottle green is brighter than forest green.

Does TJ Maxx still sell designer? Out here, the only thing we have that’s close to TJ Maxx is Winners & Marshalls (owned by TJ Maxx). The bags there are always super cheap & if it’s brand name, it’ll be Roots, Fossil or Kate Spade- nothing fancy. I guess our “bougie” department stores would be The Bay or Nordstrom

Thanks for the information! it's probably going to turn out to be navy as I originally thought. I was getting some flashes of green while I was working on it in the bath so I wondered about a blue-green color - but that was probably just the verdigris! :yucky:

Here's a before picture of the station bag 5130 and it does look blue. It was one of the 13 genuine Coach bags that were given to me for free by a friend that was downsizing - including a tan emmie, a green murphy, and a mahogany lunchbox!

The station bag bag is still wet but I've included a pictures of the creed, do you agree that it was made in the late 1980s or can you suggest a different date? Thanks!

I agree, what a great friend!

Usually when it has the 4-3 format, we assume early 90s but it could be 1988-1989.
