I'm interested. Is anyone here interested in a small accessory that’s BNIB from the 50s/60s? It’s a cool item for a collector. I can PM the link. (not my listing of course)

Ooh the rust suede Dinky? Sweet!
Looking forward to seeing that one! There are some incredible dye jobs on Coach bags on Etsy. I am guessing this type of dye is what they use.Since my courier dye job was so successful, I was gonna order a small bottle of the “rust” shade & dye my BT dinky. I wonder if it would work...I can’t seem to find anything rust at a decent price point currently, might as well try to do it myself lol

Oh yes, for sure their #1 goal is to sell us all their retail merchandise at full price. No doubt about it! Interesting though... I don’t even know any store that would authenticate their old bags.I am going to take a different tack.
And I don’t say this with any snark or sarcasm. I have no doubt Coach includes some history in their training. I have heard more than one associate comment on Bonnie Cashin’s inspiration for the turn lock. It is just corporate business. I believe Coach, while interested in marketing vintage to the degree to support sales of the vintage inspired bags and their rehabbed bags, has the main goal of corporate profit. They are a corporation and that is Business 101. It’s all fine and good to post your vintage vibe and tag them on Instagram, or bring your vintage bag and pay for customization at a pop up, but that could be as far as it goes. Educating staff more fully on vintage Coach would eventually IMO drive people (I would think resellers especially) into stores to ask for an ID or authentification. I think the last thing they want is people coming to their stores looking to ID or authenticate vintage bags. They want people to come in and buy. At full retail.
Lol so thank goodness for our thriving community here, right?

I went through their website after you mentioned it because my navy blue Convertible Clutch is so faded and I want to recolor it, and I saw the rust and let me just say I’m very interested in the results! We got snow in Ohio too! It's so weird! I don't want to see snow again till December. It can start on Christmas Eve.
